For me, and probably for many people too. Tasting culinary delights and eating delicious food can be a joy. Delicious food can give us emotional comfort and also make us forget our problems a little. However, there are thousands of restaurants, street food or buffets available that we can find. How do we choose it? apart from looking at reviews from Google Maps, or social media reviews. I have my own agenda to find a restaurant. One of my ways is to buy restaurant discount coupons.

Some time ago, I bought a food coupon and I haven't had time to use it. Then, I accidentally checked the expiration date of the food discount coupon. It turns out the coupon was about to expire. So, finally I took my motorbike keys and went to the restaurant to exchange my food discount voucher.

Rumah Rini by Melaty Parahyangan Restaurant

The restaurant I visited was called "Rumah Rini Restaurant", which is located in Tengah People and Space which is one of the most popular hangout places in Medan City. Rumah Rini Restaurant carries an Indonesian restaurant concept that provides authentic and delicious Sundanese food and culinary delights.

When I came there, the restaurant was quite busy with visitors. Almost all visitors are seen and detected as office employees who work around this area. The location of this restaurant is very strategic, because it is surrounded by the business center of Medan City. The interior atmosphere of this restaurant is very beautiful, making anyone feel at home there.

Sundanese Liwet Rice

I immediately looked for an empty table and immediately exchanged my food discount voucher. It should be, based on my voucher description. I'll get a portion of Nasi Liwet Sunda with fried chicken. However, there was a miscommunication so that the food menu that I was supposed to receive changed.

I got a portion of Nasi Liwet Sunda with sambal fried gurami. Nasi Liwet is one of the signature Sundanese culinary menus which consists of a portion of rice, vegetables, condiments and also chili sauce. For myself, I very rarely enjoy a food menu like this. I often try other rice menus.

One thing that annoyed me a little, I got the tail for this fried fish. If you don't know, the tail of the fish is the part with the least flesh and also the most spines. I had to eat slowly and carefully so as not to eat the fish spines. Overall, the taste of this meal is also very delicious. All the spices and flavors of the food still suit my taste.

Tempe Mendoan

one more thing, because the menu I ordered was different. I got one additional menu from this restaurant. I got a portion of mendoan tempeh and it was really delicious. Tempe Mendoan is one of my favorite traditional Indonesian culinary delights. I was very happy to get this menu, even happier than my main food menu.

The taste of this mendoan tempeh is very authentic. Savory, salty and slightly spicy flavors mixed perfectly. I also really like the texture of this mendoan tempeh, it's very rare to find mendoan tempeh that has the right texture like this in Medan City. Usually, mendoan tempeh sellers in Medan City make the mendoan tempeh texture crispy and actually it is different from the original mendoan tempeh from Jaya.

Overall, I am happy with my short culinary visit. I felt very happy, even though the main menu was just ordinary for me. However, the bonus menu made me very happy. Once again, humans are made happy again because of food.
