"The Girl and her Baby." / ¨La Niña y su Bebé¨.

In a park called Vereda del Lago in the city of Maracaibo, there are some black figures at the entrance.

These sculptures were made by the sculptor Jorge Luis Silva and are called "The Zuliano Embrace" or "The Girl and her Baby."

The works symbolize the connection between the motherhood of the Zulian woman and the origin and history of the city.

These black figures carrying a child pay tribute to motherhood and the city's cultural roots.

En un parque llamado Vereda del Lago en la ciudad de Maracaibo se encuentran unas figuras negras en la entrada del mismo.

Estas esculturas fueron elaboradas por el escultor Jorge Luis Silva y llevan el nombre de ¨El Abrazo Zuliano¨ o ¨La Niña y su Bebé¨.

Las obras tienen un simbolismo de conectar la maternidad de la mujer zuliana con el origen y la historia de la ciudad.

Estas figuras negras que cargan a un niño rinden homenaje a la maternidad y a las raíces culturales de la ciudad.
