Yenisei River and Island, View from Mount Kunya | PhotoFeed Landscape Photography Contest Round 116

Hello, friends.

Four mountains: Kunya and Oglakhty, Sukhanikha and Tepsey, lie on opposite banks of the Yenisei River opposite each other and form the "Big Yenisei Gates". On the first of May, my friends and I climbed Mount Kunya, or in Khakass, Kun-tag, which means the Mountain of the Sun.

There is a 5.5 km hiking route along the mountain with a steep ascent and a more gradual descent.

The spring flood has not yet begun on the Yenisei and many islands are visible in the riverbed. Very soon these islands will be flooded and the river surface will extend to the opposite mountain. From the island in the first photo, only a small island will remain - its green part in the foreground.
