Abandoned Cafe in the Woods | PhotoFeed Contest - Landscape Photography Round 133

Hello, friends!
So summer is ending, another week and the calendar autumn will come. Taking advantage of the sunny weather and the day off, my wife and I went to the forest, to take a break from the bustle of the city and wander along the forest roads.
Today we decided to wander around the area of the former pond.

Until the summer of 2013, there was a cafe on the shore of the pond.
In the cafe, you could order a gazebo or a table in the shade of the pines, celebrate a birthday with friends or just admire the calm surface of the lake. The owner of the cafe also bred fish in the pond and for an additional fee, you could go fishing.

It was behind this platform that the water surface once began.
By creating conditions for fish breeding, the owner of the cafe exceeded the capacity of the pond dam, and the earthen dam built in the 30s of the last century could not withstand, the water broke through it. After the water broke through the dam, the stream rushed onto the highway, the bridge and a section of the road were destroyed.

This photo was taken on the day of the accident, and looking at the next photo, you can compare how this area has changed in 12 years. Today's photo was taken from about the same place as the 2013 photo. Perhaps the only thing that has remained unchanged is the high-voltage power line pole.
