1923 Peace Dollar - How Would You Grade?

I pulled a gem from the collection, a 1923 Peace Dollar.

The obverse features a left-facing profile of Lady Liberty, designed by sculptor Anthony de Francisci. Her hair flows freely, symbolizing freedom and peace. The word LIBERTY is inscribed above her, with IN GOD WE TRUST and the date below.

The reverse displays a perched bald eagle holding an olive branch, with rays of sunlight emanating in the background. The inscriptions include UNITED STATES OF AMERICA, E PLURIBUS UNUM, ONE DOLLAR, and PEACE.

  • Metal: 90% silver, 10% copper.
  • Weight: 26.73 grams (0.859 troy ounces).
  • Silver Content: Approximately 0.7734 troy ounces.
  • Mintage: Philadelphia: 30,800,000

This coin is graded "About Uncirculated" because of blemishes and marks, it is not considered "uncirculated" or "Mint State". There is some damage around the edges of the reverse, which doesn't help it's grade, but the original mint-state luster and preserved details and lack of wear means this coin grades pretty high considering it's age.

It looks like a very beautiful coin.
The eagle 🦅 is carved pretty nicely.
I love the word Liberty written in the first picture.

The most damage is around the edges, which are the hardest spots to keep perfect anyways, but all of the artwork is intact and I don't mind these small scratches. These small scratches even give a bit of character to the coin :)

Very beautiful and memorable coin.Today it has great value because it reflects the old era more than a century... Looking very beautiful flowing hairs of the lady and a bird on the other side of the coin.

Nice Peace dollar! It's seen some action it looks like, but no a whole lot. It's a little hard to make a call on grade from the pictures though. She's a beauty though!

Difficult to judge using the photo and I'm not very good at grading anyway.
I have a small collection of coin auction catalogs from a few high fluten auction houses like A.H. Baldwin & Sons and their photography is top notch large color photos on a glossy magazine format.

I liked most the inscription on this coin" IN GOD WE TRUST".
After that, the flying hair of Lady Liberty in the picture which indicates that only a free nation can progress. On the other side of the coin, a bald eagle sitting on an olive branch taking the light is showing that to get a high place in life, hard work and sacrifice will have to be done, only then you will get that position and rank.
