Saludos querida comunidad de los artesanos, el día de hoy comparto con ustedes un tutorial para realizar un llavero en la técnica macramé con la imagen de Totoro, el adorable personaje de la película animada del mismo nombre, una de las más famosas del Studio Ghibli, para mi tiene un significado muy especial porque fue la primera película que mi hijo vió completa, pues como saben hasta cierta edad los niños no enfocan su atención por mucho tiempo en una sola cosa, por eso cuando él fue capaz de ver una película entera y comprenderla fue maravilloso y siendo esta película aun mejor, ya han pasado varios años desde eso pero aun así a él le sigue gustando este personaje 😊

Greetings, dear artisan community! Today I'm sharing a tutorial for making a macrame keychain featuring Totoro, the adorable character from the animated film of the same name, one of Studio Ghibli's most famous movies. It holds a very special meaning for me because it was the first film my son watched in its entirety. As you know, children don't focus their attention on one thing for very long until a certain age, so when he was able to watch and understand a whole movie, it was wonderful, and this particular film was even better. Several years have passed since then, but he still loves this character. 😊

Materiles / Materials

• Hilo acrílico de 1 mm: beige, negro, gris, blanco, rosado, azul oscuro y azul claro
• Ganchito para llavero
• Tabla con gancho
• Regla
• Tijera
• Patrón

• 1mm acrylic yarn: beige, black, gray, white, pink, dark blue, and light blue
• Keyring hook
• Board with hook
• Ruler
• Scissors

Proceso / Process

Para hacer este proyecto tuve la suerte de encontrar un patrón online que se ajustaba al tamaño que necesitaba, por lo tanto no tuve que hacer ninguna modificación al dibujo, sin embargo cambie un poco los colores de los hilos, en este caso para el paraguas en lugar de usar tonos violetas usé azules, mientras que en la parte de la barriga de Totoro no hice el borde amarillo de la imagen sino que la hice solo con hilo blanco, esta fue una elección personal pero si desean hacerlo tal cual está queda igual de bonito 😊

To make this project, I was lucky enough to find an online pattern that fit the size I needed, so I didn't have to make any modifications to the drawing. However, I did change the thread colors a bit. In this case, for the umbrella, instead of using purple tones, I used blues, while for Totoro's belly, I didn't do the yellow border shown in the image but made it only with white thread. This was a personal choice, but if you want to make it exactly as is, it looks just as beautiful 😊

Con el hilo beige corté 11 hebras de 30 cm y una hebra adicional unida al ovillo, tomé las hebras por la mitad y las anudé al gancho para llavero, anudé la hebra unida al ovillo de primer lugar a la izquierda, de ese modo obtuve 23 hilos guía y el hilo anudador del color de fondo, luego sujeté con el gancho de la tabla.

With the beige yarn I cut 11 strands of 30 cm and an additional strand attached to the ball, I took the strands in the middle and knotted them to the keyring hook, I knotted the strand attached to the ball first on the left, in this way I got 23 guide threads and the knotting thread of the background color, then I fastened it with the hook to the board.

Hice una hilera de nudos solo con el hilo anudador beige, a partir de la segunda hilera comencé a agregar el resto de los hilos anudadores conforme los fuese necesitando, en esta técnica cada cuadro del patrón corresponde a un nudo doble, es decir que el hilo anudador envuelve dos veces cada uno de los hilos guía, de izquierda a derecha en una hilera y de derecha a izquierda en la siguiente hilera y así sucesivamente, la manera correcta de cambiar el color del nudo es cruzar los hilos anudadores por detrás.

I made a row of knots using only the beige knotting thread. From the second row onwards, I began adding the rest of the knotting threads as needed. In this technique, each square of the pattern corresponds to a double knot, meaning that the knotting thread wraps around each of the guide threads twice, from left to right in one row and from right to left in the next row, and so on. The correct way to change the color of the knot is to cross the knotting threads behind.

Al finalizar las hileras de nudos, agrupé en 4 partes los hilos guía e hice 4 nudos, corté las puntas para emparejar, luego corté y escondí por detrás los hilos anudadores.

After completing the rows of knots, I grouped the guide threads into 4 parts and made 4 knots, cut the ends to even them out, then cut and hid the knotting threads behind.
