Small customization for my new shoes

Saludos a todos, esta semana ha sido muy interesante a nivel personal, debido a que me vi en la necesidad de desbloquear una limitación mental 😅, pues creo que hace más de una década que no uso zapatos deportivos, mi calzado casi siempre ha sido botas negras de tipo combate o botas negra más elegantes para cuando debo lucir mejor, pero definitivamente los zapatos deportivos estaban fuera de mi lista, los que tenía hace años los usaba solo porque debía tener actividad física en la universidad, es decir, eran parte del uniforme. El diciembre pasado intente usar zapatos deportivos, compre unos y luego de hacerlo no me gustaron y decidí dárselos a mi hijo, pero esta vez decidí que era mejor usar zapatos deportivos para llevar a mi hijo a la escuela y compré zapatos nuevos el día de ayer.

Greetings everyone, this week has been very interesting on a personal level, because I found myself in need of unlocking a mental limitation 😅, because I think it’s been more than a decade since I wore sports shoes, my footwear has almost always been black combat-type boots or more elegant black boots for when I have to look better, but sports shoes were definitely off my list, the ones I had years ago I used only because I had to have physical activity at university, that is, they were part of the uniform. Last December I tried to wear sports shoes, I bought some and after doing so I didn’t like them and decided to give them to my son, but this time I decided it was better to wear sports shoes to take my son to school and I bought new shoes yesterday.

Después de caminar mucho me daba casi por vencida, no habían zapatos qué me gustaran y los qué me gustaban no los había en color negro completamente, así que por suerte encontré unos zapatos qué no eran en su totalidad negro pero en mi mente pensé que se podían modificar. Los zapatos tenían en algunas partes una tela estampada de negro con blanco, también tenía unos adornos en dorado y la etiqueta de la marca en blanco, así que lo primero que hice fue tomar un marcador permanente y pintar la tela que era estampada, los dibujos blancos con el marcador negro se tornaron negro azulado casi gris oscuro, pero se veía mucho mejor que antes.

After walking a lot I almost gave up, there were no shoes that I liked and the ones I liked were not completely black, so luckily I found some shoes that were not completely black but in my mind I thought they could be modified. The shoes had in some parts a black and white printed fabric, they also had some gold trim and the brand label in white, so the first thing I did was take a permanent marker and paint the fabric that was printed, the white drawings with the black marker turned bluish black almost dark gray, but it looked much better than before.

Luego de quitar los cordones de los zapatos, terminé pintado la tela que estaba en el área del frente.

After removing the shoe laces, I finished painting the fabric that was in the front area.

Por último con ayuda de un cúter retiré toda el material adhesivo de color dorado que tenia el zapato, incluso el logotipo de la marca, así como la etiqueta superior del zapato. Al inicio pensé iba a quedar bien pero luego tuve miedo de estropear unos zapatos nuevos, pero al ver resultado me sentí satisfecha, aun no se si después de tantos años sin haber usado zapatos de ese estilo me voy a sentir bien, pero hasta ahora ese el plan de contingencia😄¿Ustedes que opinan?

Finally, with the help of a box cutter, I removed all the gold-colored adhesive material that the shoe had, including the brand logo and the label on the top of the shoe. At first I thought it would look good, but then I was afraid of ruining new shoes, but when I saw the result I felt satisfied. I still don’t know if after so many years without wearing shoes of that style I’m going to feel good, but so far that’s the contingency plan😄What do you think?
