Propósitos para mis gatos en 2026

Saludos a todos los amantes de las mascotas, como es común en esta época cuando faltan apenas días para acabar año, muchas personas hacen su lista de propósitos o metas para el año nuevo, así que en esta ocasión compartiré con ustedes mis objetivos relacionados con mis preciosos gatos, como ya les he comentado en post anteriores, este año además de mi gata Linda sumamos tres gatos mas a nuestra familia, así que con cada uno de ellos tenemos deseos que esperamos que se cumplan en 2026.

Greetings to all pet lovers! As is common at this time of year, with only a few days left in the year, many people are making their lists of resolutions or goals for the new year. So, on this occasion, I will share with you my goals related to my precious cats. As I have already mentioned in previous posts, this year, in addition to my cat Linda, we added three more cats to our family, so with each of them we have wishes that we hope will come true in 2026.

Los gatitos los acogimos en casa junto con su mamá hace aproximadamente unos dos meses, Blacky cuando llegó comía muy bien, pero luego de la desparasitación empezó a ser un poco quisquilloso con la comida, también luego de su primer baño noté que tenía muy poco pelo, es decir su piel se veía muy clara a través de su pelaje, pero con tiempo su crecimiento ha sido considerable a pesar de que a veces no come mucho, se ha convertido en el gato mas travieso y curioso, no es temeroso, explora la casa, se sube a lugares altos, se duerme en la cama y a veces en mis chanclas, su pelaje se ha vuelto más abundante y ahora su pelo también brilla, deseo que Blacky siga creciendo a esa velocidad, que su pelaje se termine de desarrollar como es debido y se convierta en toda una patera enorme y gorda como se lo merece.

We took the kittens and their mother into our home about two months ago. When Blacky arrived, he ate very well, but after being dewormed, he became a bit of a picky eater. Also, after his first bath, I noticed he had very little fur; his skin was very visible through his coat. But over time, his growth has been considerable, even though he sometimes doesn't eat much. He's become the most mischievous and curious cat. He's not afraid; he explores the house, climbs to high places, sleeps on the bed, and sometimes even in my slippers. His fur has become much thicker and now it's shiny. I hope Blacky continues to grow at this rate, that his fur finishes developing properly, and that he becomes the big, fat cat he deserves.

Con Rayitas el proceso ha sido un poco más difícil, el no es quisquilloso con la comida como su hermano, pero tiene mucha ansiedad por la comida, el tiempo que vivió en la calle antes de que lo adoptáramos parece que le afectó mucho, porque aún no puede comer con tranquilidad, se desespera antes de servirle la comida, cuando finalmente toma su comida, la lleva lejos y empieza a hacer sonidos de amenaza, es decir, actúa como si alguien intentara robarse su comida aun cuando los demás gatos no se le acerquen, deseo que su ansiedad desaparezca el próximo año, que se acostumbre a que su porción de comida es solo de el y nadie va a quitársela, por otro su ritmo de crecimiento no es como el de su hermano Blacky, Rayitas crece más lento y sus bigotes aún están cortos, yo imagino que los tenia cortos debido a mal nutrición, espero que de ahora en adelante sus bigotes crezcan largos y su peso y tamaño aumente acorde a su edad.

With Rayitas, the process has been a little more difficult. He's not as picky with food as his brother, but he has a lot of food anxiety. The time he lived on the streets before we adopted him seems to have affected him a lot, because he still can't eat peacefully. He gets desperate before we even serve him his food, and when he finally takes it, he carries it away and starts making threatening noises. In other words, he acts as if someone is trying to steal his food, even when the other cats don't go near him. I hope his anxiety disappears next year, that he gets used to the fact that his portion of food is just for him and no one is going to take it from him. On the other hand, his growth rate isn't like his brother Blacky's. Rayitas grows more slowly, and his whiskers are still short. I imagine they were short due to malnutrition. I hope that from now on his whiskers will grow long and his weight and size will increase according to his age.

Para la gata Mamita tengo mucho buenos deseos porque es toda una guerrea, es una gata increíble que superó su esterilización sin problemas a pesar de aun no tener un peso adecuado al momento de la cirugía, es la primera gata que no me da guerra para tomar las medicinas incluso los desparasitantes en tabletas que son tan difíciles de tragar, ella me ha demostrado que es valiente y tranquila, se dejó bañar sin problemas a pesar de haber vivido toda su vida hasta ahora en la calle, deseo que el próximo años finalmente sus hijos dejen la lactancia, porque siento que esto es lo que no ha permitido que ella aumente tanto de peso, aunque si ha subido peso espero que suba mucho más, deseo que se acostumbre más a estar en la casa y que nos alga mucho, porque como era de la calle ella no tiene el hábito de permanecer todo el día aquí y deseo que eso cambie y que convierta en una gata aún más hermosa cuando esté completamente recuperada.

I have very good wishes for Mamita the cat because she's a real warrior. She's an incredible cat who came through her spaying without any problems, even though she wasn't at a healthy weight at the time of the surgery. She's the first cat who hasn't given me any trouble taking her medicine, even the deworming tablets that are so hard to swallow. She's shown me that she's brave and calm. She let me bathe her without any fuss, even though she's lived her whole life on the streets. I hope that next year her kittens will finally stop nursing, because I feel that's what's prevented her from gaining more weight. Although she has gained weight, I hope she gains much more. I hope she gets more used to being indoors and that we get along really well, because since she was a street cat, she's not used to being here all day, and I hope that changes and that she becomes an even more beautiful cat when she's fully recovered.

Para mi preciosa gata Linda, a la cual quiero como a mi hija deseo que se relaje un poco, ella siempre ha sido de personalidad esquiva y solitaria, es muy territorial y por tal motivo ha vivido mucho estrés desde que adoptamos a los gatitos, ella tolera que estén en la casa porque no los corre, sin embargo si acercan a ella les dará un zarpazo, esto ha generado que ella ya casi no se deje agarrar por nosotros si los gatos están cerca, sin embargo, aun ella me sigue buscando cuando quiere comer y durmiendo en mi cuarto, pero espero que este año que comienza ella deje a un lado sus celos y ya no se ponga brava cuando los gatitos estén cerca, no quiero que ese estrés siga causándole daño, espero que aprenda a compartir un poco la casa con los demás, porque la fin y al cabo todos son parte de la familia. Por último deseo poder seguir teniendo el dinero necesario para garantizar la alimentación y salud de mis mascotas y que estén sanas y salvas en casa, eso es lo que más quiero para 2026 😊

For my precious cat Linda, whom I love like a daughter, I wish her a little relaxation. She's always been shy and solitary, very territorial, and has experienced a lot of stress since we adopted the kittens. She tolerates them in the house because she doesn't chase them away, but if they get too close, she'll swipe at them. This has led her to almost never let us pick her up if the cats are nearby. However, she still seeks me out when she wants food and sleeps in my room. I hope that this coming year she'll put aside her jealousy and stop getting angry when the kittens are around. I don't want this stress to continue harming her. I hope she learns to share the house a little with the others, because after all, they're all part of the family. Finally, I wish to continue having enough money to ensure my pets' food and health and that they're safe and sound at home. That's what I want most for 2026 😊
