Saludos querida comunidad, hoy vengo a compartir con ustedes mi experiencia haciendo un proyecto a crochet, se trata de un murciélago amigurumi, pero lo más importante es que he usado por primera vez un a lana llamada Chenille, la cual tiene una textura tan suave como el terciopelo lo que da como resultado un amigurumi muy blandito.

Greetings dear community, today I come to share with you my experience making a crochet project, it is an amigurumi bat, but the most important thing is that I have used for the first time a wool called Chenille, which has a texture as soft as the velvet which results in a very soft amigurumi.

Nunca había tenido la oportunidad de usar este tipo de lana, aunque se ha vuelto muy popular en redes sociales los amigurumis hechos con esta, pero en mi ciudad no venden este material, sin embargo, el destino me tenía preparada un gran sorpresa y es que mi amiga Julia quien también hace amigurumis y vive en la capital del país, me envió con su madre una lana chenille de color rosado por lo que sentí muy feliz y agradecida.

Este tipo de lana está formada por un hilo sobre el que están enrolladas todas las fibras suaves de color, por lo tanto decidí utilizar un ganchillo de 5mm, lo suficientemente ancho para no hacer tensión sobre la lana, hice primero la cabeza, con 6 puntos bajos en un anillo, hice 6 aumentos por 5 hileras, luego trabajé 8 hileras sin aumentos y luego hice 6 disminuciones por 4 hileras, hice nuevamente 6 hileras sin aumentos, rellené e hice las disminuciones para cerrar el cuerpo.

I had never had the opportunity to use this type of wool, although amigurumis made with it have become very popular on social networks, but in my city they do not sell this material, however, fate had a great surprise prepared for me and that is that My friend Julia, who also makes amigurumis and lives in the capital of the country, sent me with her mother a pink chenille yarn for which I felt very happy and grateful.

This type of wool is made up of a thread on which all the soft colored fibers are wound, therefore I decided to use a 5mm crochet hook, wide enough to not put tension on the wool, I made the head first, with 6 stitches bottoms in a ring, I made 6 increases for 5 rows, then I worked 8 rows without increases and then I made 6 decreases for 4 rows, I made 6 rows again without increases, I filled and made the decreases to close the body.

Posteriormente hice 4 puntos en un anillo y trabajé 17 hileras para obtener las base de las halas, hice dos iguales, hice las alas y la cosí al cuerpo, debo decir que este tipo de lana en mi experiencia es mejor para hacer figuras de cuerpo relleno, mientras que para los detalles que no son rellenos la lana no tiene suficiente firmeza, sin embargo la textura es muy agradable.

Later I made 4 stitches in a ring and worked 17 rows to obtain the base of the wings, I made two of the same ones, made the wings and sewed them to the body, I must say that this type of wool in my experience is better for making stuffed body figures , while for the details that are not filled, the wool does not have enough firmness, however the texture is very pleasant.

Luego hice las orejas, las patas y el hocico, al hacer las costuras no se debe hacer tensión sobre este tipo de lana, pues si se tensiona mucho las fibras que cubren el hilo se desprenderán, así que hay que trabajar muy suavemente las costuras.

Then I made the ears, the legs and the snout. When making the seams, you should not put tension on this type of wool, because if you put too much tension on it the fibers that cover the thread will come off, so you have to work the seams very gently.

Entre las cosas buenas que tiene esta lana chenille es su maravillosa textura, además que por ser gruesa disminuye el tiempo de trabajo al necesitarse menos puntadas para lograr el tamaño de los amigurumis, sin embargo, no es un a lana que recomiende para los principiantes en el crochet, pues hay que asegurarse de no hacer tensión y tener mucho cuidado con las costuras, para finalizar estos comentarios de reseña acerca de la lana chenille debo decir que no es recomendable para las personas alérgicas como yo , pues al cortar las hebras se desprenden un poco la fibras 😅, pero igualmente estoy fascinada con el resultado y muy agradecida con mi amiga por haberme dado este material tan lindo para hacer mi murciélago.

Among the good things that this chenille wool has is its wonderful texture, and because it is thick, it reduces working time as fewer stitches are needed to achieve the size of the amigurumis. However, it is not a wool that I recommend for beginners in crochet, because you have to make sure not to put any tension and be very careful with the seams. To finish these review comments about chenille wool, I must say that it is not recommended for allergic people like me, because when cutting the strands they come off. A little bit the fibers 😅, but I am still fascinated with the result and very grateful to my friend for giving me this beautiful material to make my bat.
