Saludos a todos en la comunidad joyería espero se encuentren muy bien, hoy comparto con ustedes un tutorial para realizar un collar en la técnica de macramé, el motivo que escogí se trata de una calavera pero no cualquiera sino una dedicada al Día de Muertos, una celebración mexicana pero que también se ha difundido en diferentes partes del mundo, en la cual se trata de recordar a los seres queridos que han fallecido, no con tristeza sino con alegría, por eso las flores y colores no pueden faltar en la celebración, espero les guste.

Greetings to everyone in the jewelry community, I hope you are all doing well. Today I am sharing with you a tutorial on how to make a macramé necklace. The motif I chose is a skull, but not just any skull, one dedicated to the Day of the Dead, a Mexican celebration that has also spread to different parts of the world and which is all about remembering loved ones who have passed away, not with sadness but with joy. That is why flowers and colors are a must for the celebration. I hope you like it.

Materiales / Materials

• Hilo acrílico para crochet: blanco, negro, azul, amarillo, rojo morado y rosado.
• Cordón de yute o hilo chino
• Regla
• Tabla
• Tijera
• 2 pinzas para ropa
• Patrón

• Acrylic crochet yarn: white, black, blue, yellow, purple, and pink.
• Jute cord or Chinese knot thread
• Ruler
• Board
• Scissors
• 2 clothespins
• Pattern

Proceso / Process

Para este patrón usé la aplicación Pixel Station, esta me permite crear un lienzo de cuadros, en este caso de 23 x 27, luego con las herramientas pincel y bote de pintura pinté cuadro por cuadro el diseño de la calavera. Edité la imagen con la aplicación Inshot para agregar los números.

For this pattern, I used the Pixel Station app. It allows me to create a canvas of squares, in this case 23 x 27. Then, using the brush and paint bucket tools, I painted the skull design square by square. I edited the image with the Inshot app to add the numbers.

Corté 70 cm del cordón, luego en cada extremo hice un nudo corredizo para envolver el extremo opuesto, los mismo del otro lado, de ese modo se forma el collar que se puede ajustar al cuello.

I cut 70 cm of the cord, then at each end I made a slip knot to wrap around the opposite end, the same on the other side, in this way the necklace is formed that can be adjusted to the neck.

Coloqué el collar rodeando la tabla, luego con el hilo negro corté 11 hebras de 30 cm y una hebra adicional unida al ovillo, anudé las hebras por la mitad al cordón, dejando la hebra del ovillo de primer lugar a la izquierda, de ese modo la hebra unida al ovillo funciona como el primer hilo anudador, mientras que las demás hebras son los 23 hilos guía como corresponde en el patrón.

I placed the necklace around the board, then with the black thread I cut 11 strands of 30 cm and an additional strand attached to the ball, I knotted the strands in half to the cord, leaving the strand of the ball of first place on the left, in this way the strand attached to the ball works as the first knotting thread, while the other strands are the 23 guide threads as it corresponds in the pattern.

En esta técnica el hilo anudador envuelve dos veces cada uno de los hilos guía, de izquierda a derecha en las hileras impares y de derecha a izquierda en las hileras pares, hay que seguir el orden del patrón donde cada cuadro corresponde a un nudo, para cambiar el color del nudo se debe agregar el hilo anudador de color y se cruzan las hebras por detrás.

In this technique, the knotting thread wraps around each of the guide threads twice, from left to right on odd rows and from right to left on even rows. You must follow the order of the pattern where each square corresponds to a knot. To change the color of the knot, add the colored knotting thread and cross the strands behind.

Para finalizar dividí los hilos anudadores en cuatro partes para hacer 4 nudos, con la tijera emparejé las puntas para formar flecos, los hilos anudadores se cortan y se esconden pro detrás.

To finish, I grouped the knotting threads into four parts to make 4 knots. With scissors, I matched the ends to form fringes. The knotting threads are cut and hidden behind.
