Saludos a todos en la comunidad, últimamente estoy muy enfocada en hacer collares en macrame así que cada nuevo diseño que hago me llena de emoción y por eso los comparto con ustedes, estaba haciendo motivos de Halloween pero hice una excepción porque se me vino otro diseño a la mente y no podía dejarlo pasar, así es mi proceso creativo, cuando siento que debo hacer algo lo hago, se trata de un collar con la imagen de Ziggy Stardust, el cual es el alter ego creado por David Bowie en los años setenta para dos de sus discos y que sin duda se convirtió en un icono, a mi particularmente me encanta esa etapa del artista, por eso el resultado de este trabajo me lleno de mucho entusiasmo, espero a ustedes también les guste.

Greetings to everyone in the community, lately I'm very focused on making macrame necklaces so every new design I make fills me with excitement and that's why I share them with you, I was making Halloween motifs but I made an exception because another design came to mind and I couldn't pass it up, that's how my creative process is, when I feel like I have to do something I do it, it's a necklace with the image of Ziggy Stardust, which is the alter ego created by David Bowie in the seventies for two of his albums and which undoubtedly became an icon, I particularly love that stage of the artist, that's why the result of this work filled me with great enthusiasm, I hope you like it too.

Materiales / Materials

• Hilo acrílico para crochet: gris, rojo, naranja, negro y azul.
• Cordón de yute o hilo chino
• Tabla
• Tijera
• 2 pinzas para ropa
• Regla

Para hacer este collar hice patrón en aplicación Pixel Station, con un lienzo de 22 cuadros de ancho por 27 cuadros de alto, pinte cada cuadro con la herramienta pincel y el seleccionador de color, con la aplicación Inshot agregué los números, como puede observar cada cuadro represente un nudo, el numero de columnas de cuadros equivale al número de hilos guía y el número de cuadros en vertical al numero de hileras de nudos.

To make this necklace I made a pattern in the Pixel Station application, with a canvas of 22 squares wide by 27 squares high, I painted each square with the brush tool and the color picker, with the Inshot application I added the numbers, as you can see each square represents a knot, the number of columns of squares is equal to the number of guide threads and the number of vertical squares is equal to the number of rows of knots.

Proceso / Process

Cortar 70 cm de cordón, tomar un extremo y hacer un nado corredizo envolviendo el extremo opuesto, hacer lo mismo del otro extremo, el resultado es un collar que se puede ajustar a la medida de la cabeza y cuello.

Cut 70 cm of cord, take one end and make a sliding loop by wrapping it around the opposite end. Do the same with the other end. The result is a necklace that can be adjusted to the size of your head and neck.

Rodear la tabla con el collar y sujetar con las pinzas para ropa. Con el hilo gris cortar 11 hebras de 30 cm, tomar las hebras por la mitad y anudar al centro del collar, de ese modo se obtienen los 22 hilos guía, agregar el hilo anudador de color gris en primer lugar.

Wrap the necklace around the board and secure it with clothespins. Cut 11 strands of gray yarn, 30 cm long, and knot them in the center of the necklace. This creates 22 guide threads. Add the gray knotting thread first.

Seguir el patrón donde cada cuadro representa un nudo. Comenzar los nudos de izquierda a derecha en las hileras impares y de derecha a izquierda en las hileras pares, los nudos se hacen cuando el hilo anudador envuelve dos veces cada uno de los hilos guía, los cambios de color se hacen cruzando los hilos anudadores por detrás, es decir se trae hacia adelante solo el hilo que se necesita y se dejan atrás a los demás.

Follow the pattern, where each square represents a knot. Begin tying knots from left to right on odd-numbered rows and from right to left on even-numbered rows. Knots are made when the knotting thread wraps around each of the guide threads twice. Color changes are made by crossing the knotting threads behind, meaning only the thread needed is brought forward and the others are left behind.

Al finalizar las 27 hileras de nudos, reparar en cuatro partes los hilos guía y hacer cuatro nudos, cortar las puntas para emparejar, cortar y esconder los hilos anudadores por detrás.

After completing the 27 rows of knots, repair the guide threads in four places and tie four knots, trim the ends to match, cut and hide the knotting threads behind.
