Saludos querida comunidad, ya casi es Halloween y me emociona mucho hacer trabajos con la temática porque es mi favorita, hoy comparto con ustedes un collar hecho en macramé con la figura de Frankenstein de las películas, digo las películas porque realmente la criatura creada por el Dr. Frankenstein en la novela original de Mary Shelley es muy diferente, sin embargo, la adaptación a cine es parte de la cultura popular y por eso fácilmente reconocible para todos, así que espero les guste 😊

Greetings dear community, it's almost Halloween and I'm very excited to do work with this theme because it's my favorite, today I share with you a necklace made in macramé with the figure of Frankenstein from the movies, I say the movies because really the creature created by Dr. Frankenstein in the original novel by Mary Shelley is very different, however, the film adaptation is part of popular culture and therefore easily recognizable for everyone, so I hope you like it 😊

Materiales / Materials

• Hilo acrílico para crochet: gris, verde, negro, rojo y blanco.
• Cordón de yute o hilo chino
• Regla
• Tijera
• 2 Pinzas para ropa
• Tabla
• Patrón

• Acrylic crochet yarn: gray, green, black, red, and white.
• Jute cord or Chinese knot thread
• Ruler
• Scissors
• 2 Clothespins
• Board
• Pattern

Proceso / Process

El patrón lo elaboré en la aplicación Pixel Station, con un lienzo de 23 cuadros de ancho por 24 cuadros de alto, con la herramienta pincel y selección de color pinté cada uno de los cuadros que conforman la figura. En la aplicación Inshot agregué los números de las hileras de nudos (24), así como el número de hilos guía (23).

I created the pattern using the Pixel Station app, using a canvas measuring 23 squares wide by 24 squares high. Using the brush and color selection tools, I painted each of the squares that make up the shape. In the Inshot app, I added the numbers for the rows of knots (24) and the number of guide threads (23).

Cortar 70 cm de cordón o hilo chino, en cada extremo hacer un nudo corredizo que envuelva al extremo opuesto, de este modo se obtiene el collar.

Cut 70 cm of cord or Chinese thread, at each end make a slip knot that wraps around the opposite end, thus obtaining the necklace.

Rodear la tabla con el collar y asegurar con pinzas de ropa para que no se mueva al trabajar. Con el hilo gris cortar 11 hebras de 30cm y una hebra mas unida al ovillo, tomar las hebras por la mitad y anudar al centro del collar, anudar la hebra del ovillo de primer lugar a la izquierda, esta hebra unida al ovillo funcionará como primer hilo anudador del color de fondo, mientras que las demás 23 hebras serán los hilos guía como corresponde en el patrón.

Wrap the necklace around the board and secure it with clothespins to keep it in place while you work. Using the gray yarn, cut 11 strands of 30 cm each and tie another strand to the ball of yarn. Gather the strands in half and knot them in the center of the necklace. Tie the first strand of yarn to the left. This strand, tied to the ball, will act as the first knotting thread for the background color, while the remaining 23 strands will serve as the guide threads, as indicated in the pattern.

Hacer la primera hilera solo con el hilo anudador gris, en esta técnica el hilo anudador envuelve dos veces cada uno de los hilos guía, en la primera hilera y en todas las hileras impares de anuda de izquierda a derecha, mientras que en las hileras pares se nuda de derecha a izquierda, se agregan los demás hilos anudadores y se cruzan por detrás la hebras cuando se necesite cambiar de color de nudo, los cambios de color se hacen según corresponde en el patrón, es decir cada cuadro del patrón representa un nudo. El patrón no lo dice pero yo agregué una hilera de nudos adicional al final solo con el color gris.

Make the first row only with the gray knotting thread, in this technique the knotting thread wraps each of the guide threads twice, in the first row and in all odd rows it knots from left to right, while in the even rows it is knotted from right to left, the other knotting threads are added and the strands are crossed behind when you need to change knot color, the color changes are made as corresponds in the pattern, that is, each square of the pattern represents a knot. The pattern does not say it but I added an additional row of knots at the end only with the gray color.

Al final separé en cuatro partes los hilos guía e hice cuatro nudos, con la tijera corté para formar flecos, por detrás corté y escondí los hilos anudadores.

In the end I separated the guide threads into four parts and made four knots, with the scissors I cut to form fringes, at the back I cut and hid the knotting threads.
