Saludos querida comunidad, siguiendo la temática de mi post pasado en donde les compartí un colgante de gorro navideño con la imagen de Jack Skellington disfrazado de Santa Claus, en esta ocasión les comparto uno con la imagen de la icónica escena de la película donde Jack sube a la colina con Sally y en el fondo se ve la luna llena, esta imagen me parece muy hermosa y por eso me emocionó mucho este proyecto, espero les guste 😊

Greetings dear community! Following on from my last post where I shared a Christmas hat pendant featuring Jack Skellington dressed as Santa Claus, this time I'm sharing one with the iconic scene from the movie where Jack climbs the hill with Sally and the full moon is visible in the background. I find this image very beautiful, which is why I was so excited about this project. I hope you like it! 😊

Materiales / Materials

• Hilo acrílico: azul oscuro, negro y amarillo claro
• Dos agujas de tejer de 2 mm
• 1 pompón de tela de peluche
• Aguja de ojal grande
• 1 cuenta
• Tijera
• Hilo y aguja de coser
• Patrón

• Acrylic yarn: dark blue, black, and light yellow
• Two 2 mm knitting needles
• 1 plush fabric pom-pom
• Large eyelet needle
• 1 bead
• Scissors
• Sewing needle and thread
• Pattern

Proceso / Process

Tomando una imagen de referencia, dibujé el patrón en la aplicación Pixel Station sobre un lienzo de 21 x 21 cuadros.

Using a reference image, I drew the pattern in the Pixel Station app on a 21 x 21 square canvas.

Con el hilo azul oscuro monté 36 puntos más 2 puntos de orillo, tejí las primeras 4 hileras con puntos al derecho, luego las siguientes 24 hileras en punto jersey, es decir, en las hileras del frente se hacen puntos al derecho y en las hileras de atrás se hacen puntos al revés. Hice 6 disminuciones por 5 hileras, hasta obtener 6 puntadas mas 2 de orillo, cerré en forma circular con el mismo hilo y la aguja de ojal grande.

With the dark blue yarn, I cast on 36 stitches plus 2 edge stitches, knit the first 4 rows, then the next 24 rows in stockinette stitch (knit the front rows and purl the back rows). I decreased 6 times for 5 rows, until I had 6 stitches plus 2 edge stitches, and then I bound off in the round with the same yarn and a large-eye needle.

La técnica usada para el dibujo es la de punto duplicado, siguiendo el orden de colores del patrón lo que se hace es bordar por así decirlo sobre cada punto, se mete la aguja de atrás hacia el frente por la parte de debajo de la V del punto, se pasa por las dos puntas de la V y se regresa por la punta de abajo, el resultado es que se van haciendo nuevas V sobre las V, es decir, el punto de duplica.

The technique used for the drawing is that of double stitch, following the order of colors of the pattern what is done is to embroider so to speak over each stitch, the needle is put from back to front through the underside of the V of the stitch, it passes through the two points of the V and returns through the bottom point, the result is that new Vs are made over the Vs, that is, the stitch is duplicated.

Al terminar de duplicar los puntos para obtener el dibujo, cosí el lateral del gorro para cerrar definitivamente. Luego con hilo y aguja cosí el pompón, con la aguja de ojal grande e hilo azul hice el asa del colgante y lo anudé con una cuenta.

After doubling the stitches to create the design, I sewed the side of the hat closed. Then, using a needle and thread, I sewed on the pom-pom. With a large-eye needle and blue thread, I made the loop for the pendant and tied it with a bead.
