The year just began! What have you decided to release for a better year? Have you noticed any small wins from it yet? If it’s too early, simply share what you chose to release.

At the end of the year, I didn't set any big goals. I thought it would be best to start with small things that would ultimately have significant meaning. In other words, I didn't want a stressed or rushed start. I intended to free myself from the anxiety that setting goals at the beginning of the year usually causes me. I wanted simple things, like starting to walk more, buying materials for my knitting, and finding a way to get a job or some extra income. However, I wasn't prepared for my situation—or rather, our situation, because it includes everyone in my country—to take such an unexpected turn.

I don't really like to share anything about political topics in the community, but this is undoubtedly something that greatly affects our daily lives. As many of you probably know, there were bombings in the capital of my country and the arrest of the president. I don't intend to explain the situation in detail, but in daily life, this put us all on hold. Nobody knew what would happen next, so the best thing to do was stay home and take shelter. Although life continued without much difference in some aspects, the economic reality was brutally affected. On the first day, people started panic buying. My city is small, and that day people practically sold out the stock of the main products in the stores. The next day things were calmer for shopping, but as if we weren't already used to surprises, the prices of many products were almost double.

So what I mean by this is that any plans I had in mind are obviously on hold until further notice. We're in a situation where I don't think it's wise to look for extra income because everyone's in survival mode. One of my plans was to restock my knitting supplies, but that hasn't been possible. Given the situation, I'm trying to prioritize buying food and paying bills before making any other expenses. Just one day's difference can affect the prices of food and essential items to levels that make effective budgeting impossible. Therefore, although it pains me to say it, any goals I had in mind for the beginning of this year will have to wait until things calm down a bit in my country and prices are less volatile. For now, I'm trying to calm myself by knitting until I run out of yarn.

¡El año recién comienza! ¿Qué has decidido dejar ir para tener un año mejor? ¿Has notado ya alguna pequeña ganancia? Si es demasiado pronto, simplemente comparte lo que elegiste publicar.

Al finalizar el año no me propuse metas grandes, pensé que sería lo mejor comenzar por pequeñas cosas pero que al final tuvieran un significado importante, es decir, no quise tener un comienzo estresado o apurado, pretendía librarme un poco de la ansiedad que me produce el poner objetivos a comienzos de año, quería cosas simples, como empezar a caminar más, comprar materiales para mis tejidos y buscar la manera de conseguir un trabajo o un ingreso extra, sin embargo, no estaba preparada para que mi situación o mejor dicho nuestra situación porque incluye a todos los habitantes en mi país, tomara un rumbo tan inesperado.

Realmente no me gusta compartir nada sobre temas políticos en la comunidad, pero sin duda esto es lago que afecta grandemente nuestra vida diaria, como seguramente muchos saben en mi país hubo bombardeos en al capital y el arresto del presidente, no pretendo explicar la situación a detalle, pero en la vida diaria esto nos puso a todos en un estado de pausa, nadie sabía que pasaría después así que lo mejor era quedarnos en casa resguardados, a pesar de que la vida continuo sin mucha diferencia en algunos aspectos, la realidad económica fue brutalmente afectada, el primer día la gente empezó a hacer compras nerviosas, mi ciudad es pequeña y ese día prácticamente la gente agotó el stock de los principales productos en los abastos, al día siguiente estaba todo más calmado para comprar, pero como si ya no estuviéramos acostumbrados a las sorpresas los precios de muchos productos eran casi al doble.

Entonces lo que quiero decir con esto es que, cualquier plan que tuviera en mi cabeza obviamente esta suspendido hasta nuevo aviso, pues estamos en una situación en donde no considero prudente buscar un ingreso extra porque todos activaron el modo supervivencia, uno de mis planes eran reabastecer mis de materiales de tejidos, pero esto no ha podido ser posible, porque frente a la situación estoy tratando de organizarme en comprar comida y pagar los servicios antes que hacer cualquier gasto, porque un solo día de diferencia puede afectar los precios de la comida y artículos necesarios a niveles que hacen imposible una planificación efectiva del dinero que tenga, por lo tanto aunque me duela decirlo, todo objetivo que haya estado en mi mente para este inicio de año tendrá que esperar hasta que mi país este un poco mas clamado y los precios de las cosas dejen de ser tan volátiles ☹, por ahora trato de calmarme tejiendo hasta que se me acaben los hilos que tengo.
