A good opportunity / LOH Contest 261

You've been offered a job at a foreign company in a country you've always wanted to visit. However, you can't bring your immediate family (spouse and children) with you for two years. Would you accept the opportunity? Please share your opinion.

I think it's no secret that my country has been facing a major economic crisis for many years. This has caused a large part of the population to migrate. In the worst times, some even walked to neighboring countries, trying to find a better life and a chance to survive. Many people have had more planned journeys, but the vast majority initially left without their families, and worse, they left without knowing where they would live or if they would find a job. They also don't know if they will be successful enough to see their families again. Many people have been lucky enough to achieve their goal, but others have had a terrible migration experience.

For the reasons stated above, many people have preferred to stay in the country for fear of the uncertain future if they go to another country without any guarantees. However, the question posed in this contest presents a fantastic opportunity. It's not just about leaving the country; it's about the option of a good job. In other words, you go to a country with the security of arriving with a job, and consequently, you'll have guaranteed food and lodging. Not being able to see your family for two years is sad, but it's not because there's an insurmountable obstacle. You have the option of bringing your family to the country in two years. There's an objective, a goal already set, and the path is open. You just have to work hard. I wonder how many people abroad are working jobs they don't like, without knowing when they'll have the money and the permits to bring their families. I bet there are many in that situation. That's why this proposal is an opportunity that shouldn't be missed, at least for anyone who has lived in a country in crisis.

A lot can happen in two years, that's true, but you also have to consider that the benefits outweigh the drawbacks. Besides, when you're working, time passes more quickly. When you have a clear path, you can move forward more easily than living in uncertainty. That's why I would seize this opportunity and cherish it, because it not only signifies personal achievement but also means my family will have a better future.

Having experienced it firsthand, I agree with you. It can be challenging initially, but as time passes by and you maintain constant communication with your family, it gets a little easier.
