Sunday’s Special - Fight about Nothing.

“Hey!! You haven't made today's post yet.” inuke reminded me about my Hive Blog for today.
“Hmm, I am busy. I have things to do and the Hive post is not on today's priority list.” I replied, trying to sound organised.
“What list?”. Inuke sounded surprised.
“Here!!” I handed him the notepad.
“To-Do list. Hmm, let's see… Eat Breakfast, Lunch, Sleep, Netflix,.. What kind of lazy ass todolist is this?” inuke asked throwing away the notepad on the table.
“It's Sunday's special TodoList.”
“Ok, come on. Get up and do 15Push-ups.” Inuke asked me out of the blue.
“Aye!! Pagal hain ye kya..Aisa kya din ke beech mein pandarh push-ups..” [Aye!! Have you lost you damn mind, whats is this 15pushup non-sense.] I shouted at inuke.
“Ok!! But do something. Anything is literally better than this list of yours.. You are just throwing away the day.” inuke kept pushing me.

“Maybe I want to throw away the day. Maybe I deserve to throw away the day after the long week of hospitals, office, home and a million other things. I think I deserve a day where I do what I want to do. And that is to do NOTHING.” I exploded at the inuke. “Is it too much to ask for a day off? And this list is something I am intending to follow. And would have followed it if you weren't here to constantly remind me about all the important things that is pending. There a the documentation work from office, there that follow up on the complaint that I am supposed to do, I have to go and hunt for a crap the school has asked for the Kids project, the grocery shopping, and million other things I need to get done. Whats worst I am not getting the satisfaction of checking things off the list as before I check off the list would have grown by another kilometre. So please go away and let me do nothing.” I blasted inuke.

There was a silence for 2 minutes. I could see inuke sitting there silently. A sense of guilt washed over me. I know there's no fault of his that I have so many items in my mind, and to be honest few were results of my own doing.
But before I could apologise for my outburst. Inuke went ahead and suggested.
“Bro, you need to do meditation.”
At that moment, I wanted to punch him, but all I could do was laugh.
“Yeah, Lets add that to the list as well.” I replied, “But, Let me relax for today. We can start this again from tomorrow. What you say?”
“Good Idea, So what you want to do Today??” Inuke poked again.
“Right Now, Murder.”
“Hey! Relax..Bro.” Inuke steps back a little.
“See, that's all I want to do. Relax, but you aren't letting me do it.” I replied.
“Ok, Ok, here's a deal…”
“No deal, go away!! I want to do nothing.” I cut off inuke.
“Just listen to me. And I will go away.” Inuke asked me for attention.
“Ok, go ahead.”
“How about you write a Hive post?” inuke suggested the writing exercise.
“Great Idea, now go away.”
Inuke not convinced, continued.
“Ok! Ok!!, Dont write. There’s a contest hosted by IU. How about you check that out? No writing, just check it out. Who know,s tomorrow you dont have to worry about the topic for your Hive Blogging. What you say?” inuke suggested the reading exercise this time.
“Ussssshoooo..!!!” I sighed. “Fine, I will read it. Now leave me alone.” Even my anger got tired and is looking for a break.
“Awesome. Have fun doing nothing afterwards.” Inuke left.
I picked up the notepad and wrote light reading after Netflix.

Hey Folk,

We all deserve atleast a day every once in a while when we should do absolutely nothing. I wanted that kind of day, But life happened. But its ok. Maybe tomorrows gonna be that kind of day. Tomorrow, Monday who am I kidding?
