“What you looking at?”
“Nothing, just a old photograph.” I replied.
“Hey, show me”. Inuke snatched the photo from my hand.
“You be careful with it. Its the only copy available of that photo.” I asked him to handle that photograph with care.
“Yo! scan and upload this in cloud. You wont be needing this then.” inuke said while waving the photo.
“Will do, just be careful with it.” I requested again.
“Hmm..”

“Hey!! Where is this?” inuke asked.
I was surprised at his question. I thought he knows everything I know.
“You dont know this place?”
“I dont know thats why I am asking you. Where is this place?” inuke asked again.
“That’s Mus, in CarNicobar island. Beautiful place isnt it.” I replied.
“Yeah! Looks lovely.”
“So, you seeing this for the first time?”
“Yeah!! I know you lived on various islands and lot of places but this one I am seeing for the first time.” inuke was surprised same as me. “So! Whats the story” inuke asked.
“Nothing, I was just cleaning and this one fell of the diary, Even I forgot that I had this hidden there.” I explained and paused reliving that moment.

“You know, Dad took this photo. Because it was the last click on the roll and he wants to send the roll out for development.”
“Ah the Eighties..”
“Eighties, Dude it was taken in ‘97. How old do you think I am?”
“Sorry, I though you existed from the time of..” I glared at him. “Never mind, you continue.”
“That’ fellow in red shirt. He is Markus. And thats me as Goalie. Thats Sonu and Bujji playing in sand.” I left out a hugh sigh.
“Who are the people in the background?” inuke asked.
“Just some random village people off to fishing. They infact gave me a Bhangdi fish too while returning.”
“Nice people, We should go and visit that place again. This look like a place which can heal people. I mean look at the beautiful trees and even the fallen tree was acting as bench facing the see. No internet or smartphone or social media. Just Nature at its best. Lets plan a family vis…” inuke stopped mid-sentence after realising the truth held in time.
“Tsunami?”

“Yes! destroyed in Tsunami. Nothing is left, only the foundation of the school. Everything else in the area is gone.” I explained the reason to inuke. “I wish there was such place here in Trichy. You know where you can sit with family or alone can speak your mind freely. No distractions. Just you and your loved one enjoying the moment and living it.”

“Well, who knows maybe the ruins is that place for someone else. Its not the place you are missing, but the moment.”

“Nah! It was the place too. The view of the vast ocean and the passing cloud and the 2-3 fishing boats in far background. You just have to sit there and look at the sea, and would feel that everything in life is ok and not that bad.” I tried explaining it to inuke.

“And thats one more reason to work on a time machine.”
“Oh!! Shut up.” I snatched the photograph back from him.

Hi Folk,

I lost the photograph. This happened a long time ago when I moved to Chennai. During that transition, an entire album went missing. But certain images live in my mind rent-free. Everyone has that place where they can sit instead of worrying, can enjoy life.
