For freedom, we raise our voices and protest against it if someone tries to snatch our freedom. Speech of freedom is very important for all of us, and I believe that nobody wants to live life if there is no freedom of speech. Today I am going to discuss about the speech of freedom in the press in my country, and through this, I will try to share the condition of here as well.

The news portal and press are for giving updates on the current and ongoing situation of the country and the world. The main work of the press is to present the reality of everything in front of common people, and it should not be manipulated by anyone. It doesn't matter if it's something supporting the running government or something against the running government. All the information should be verified and collected from trusted sources because general people react based on what is presented in front of them. The speech of freedom is very necessary in this sector; otherwise, this sector is totally useless and pointless, and it is nothing more than sarcasm. I am explaining to you how? I think the situation of my country's press and media in the past and present is enough to explain the necessity of freedom of speech.

In the past, at least 10 to 15 years ago, the press and media were free from any kind of manipulation, and at that time, journalists and reports used to present real information or news. If the government was doing something good, then they shared it and praised the government's work, and in opposite cases, they never hesitated to criticize the government's work, and I think it's the real task of the press. They were the representatives of reality. The government needed to stay alert all the time, thinking that if they take any wrong step, it will be represented in front of the general public, and it was one kind of fear of government that also inspired them to do good work because it was the thing for which the government received praise and free publicity. Because of the honest work of journalists and reporters, many people were inspired by the profession, and it was a great way to serve the nation.

Let's talk about the current situation. In the current time, the press or media is not so concerned with presenting real information in front of the general public. There are actually two reasons behind it. In the first season, authorities only think about money, and they always try to show something interesting, and for that, they don't hesitate to share false information. Another of the most significant reasons is the influence of the government. At the current time, no press or news portal shares anything that goes against the running government. If any press dares to represent something against the government, then there is no doubt that it's the end of the press. In the last few years, that kind of incident has occurred many times. It's like the government is allowed to do the wrong thing, but the press or media has no permission to share about it. In a word, there is no freedom of speech. As a result, the government can act shamelessly because no pressure is there to say something against the government, which was one kind of protest. It is the reason most of people are not interested in press, media, or news portals because almost everyone knows that every piece of information seems scripted. Naturally, people are losing interest in the journalism profession as there are many risks involved.

As there is no freedom, the press can't do their real work properly, and it's not good for a country. As good journalists and are not interested in the sector anymore, the unqualified and narrow minded people taking the place. Sometimes I see news. Except for some specific news, it gives me a feeling like a drama. They are not focused on those topics that need to be highlighted, and they are trying to cover up the thing by some nonsense emotional news.
