Immortality may not be a blessing

Life is the most precious thing for a human, and at the same time, it's the most uncertain thing. We can lose our lives anytime, maybe in the next second. Who knows? We always say that this world is very cruel, but none of us wants to leave this world because we love our lives more than anything. Everyone tries their best to stay alive until the last moment.

What if I get the power of immortality? The power of immortality sounds interesting, and getting the power means a lot in the beginning. It's natural because when someone gets a superpower, it gives a very good vibe to anyone, but when I think about it deeply, I can see the immortality concept from a different perspective.

Do you understand the perspective we need to understand fast why we want to survive or stay alive? I am an introverted person, but I think my family, friends, and relatives are the most important people to me. I love to enjoy time with them because those moments make me happy, and thinking of leaving them anytime is really horrible, so naturally, I don't want to die before them. So it would be better if every one of my relatives got the power of immortality with me, and in that case, I will be able to enjoy happy moments with them even after a thousand years, and I won't feel regret for it. So if the power of immortality can be shared with others, I will accept the power without any hesitation.

But what if only I can get the power of immortality? In that case, the answer is quite complicated because I have seen some people who never cared about their life time, but when it was the time of their death, they tried to stay alive. They did some practice and did some things in the hope of extending their life, which means they are also trying to see a miracle. The surprising thing is that when their body condition was very good, they never cared about it, and some of them said they actually didn't care about that either. The scent of death makes people understand the value of life, and so even if I say I don't like to be immortal, I can't guarantee my thoughts will remain the same till the end. Instead of it, I'm going to share my thoughts on the present moment.

Seeing someone dying in front of your eyes is very painful when the person is among your close ones. I have experienced it several times, and I wish not to face such a situation again. Being immortal means I won't die, but my relatives and my beloved people will die in front of my eyes, which will be just a matter of time. That means I need to bear the pain of it for everyone I love, and it's very cruel for a person. After a certain time, I will lose all my beloved people, and after that time, I will be a lonely person. So after a certain time, I need to live a lonely life, which is very cruel in my eyes. I think in that case, immortality may give me the feeling of a curse rather than give me a feeling of being blessed.
