It's been a hot minute since I've had a chance to write and make a post.. I've had this in the works for a while this summer on and off.. finally finished for now I think.

It was a marvelous run
Lazy days in the sun
Chasing our addiction

For what's to come
Keep on preying with
Your mouth sewn shut

You look to the skies
With your vacant eyes
Ignoring a shrinking cage
Welcome to a new feudal age
The long shadow rises
Spreading it's promises
Which are cancerous lies
Can't you see the disguise
You are the carbon
Slated for capture
Expect no reprieve
From coming cremation
Welcome to the churn
Distracted sleepers
