A beautiful day at work with my colleagues

Hello everyone,
Today is a day that came with itself a new experience because I learned a lot in it. I work with a remediation agency in my country, and before the end of last year, the majority of my colleagues had already stopped coming to work. Some of the reasons are because of the distance of our office from their residential area.
So according to them, they are just trying to cut down on transportation expenses.
So for like two weeks to Christmas, I was the only one in my unit that reported to work in the office.

The funny thing is that the majority of those who stopped coming to work actually took permission from higher authorities. But as for me, I had no good reason to come up with, or better still, I can say I enjoy coming to the office and the distance of the office to my house is just a stone's throw.
Last year, I continued visiting the office, trying to be professional and fulfilling my duties until it got to a point where I hardly saw anyone to talk to each time I entered my office. Even other units were so scarce of workers.

This continued until the end-of-the-year party in my office, which everyone attended. Those who hadn’t been coming to work for weeks all came, and some of them even invited their friends to be part of the occasion. The end-of-the-year party was the last official thing that took place in my workplace last year, and it was held on the official closing day of our office for the year.

After the end-of-the-year party, the next thing in line for me was to travel home and see my father, who had gone for surgery a few weeks before our end-of-the-year party. I traveled home for Christmas, and now I’m back.
I just left the office a few hours ago, and this is the first week of our resumption for the year. But guess what? On getting to the office, the only set of people I saw today were our security personnel, our admin officer (a woman), and then one other employee from another unit. We were just very few within the premises.

Though I came late to work today, I was surprised to know that after some hours of my arrival, many more workers still came to work. But even though some others later came, we were still very small in number compared to before.
I waited in the office and tried doing some personal stuff. I love watching movies and documentaries with my phone till it was 12 o’clock noon and just as I decided to go back home after all that was happening in the office, I came across a new face: a girl with a beautiful face, shape, and curves, so tempting to talk to, and I couldn’t resist.

Soon after, I found myself having a great conversation with her, and we spent many more hours in the office together. And just as I was about to leave, she decided we would leave together. Talking to her was really fun, and I figured out she had a lot of things, and we have a lot of things in common.
It was one thing that made my day enjoyable today, and I hope to write some more of my daily activities and my catching up with her in the future.
