Rereading the books from my favorite collection - we're starting with stories and tales [ENG/ESP]

Hello everyone, as you may know, last time I told you about this collection of books that contained stories, tales, and a little bit of everything. It was distributed years ago in these distinctive red boxes, which aimed to encourage reading in children and schools. These days I've been reinforcing my Ñaareading skills a bit by revisiting these books, also to reminisce and reconnect with those times when, as a child, I used to read this collection nonstop. And while I'm at it, I also want to show you a little bit about the small books in this collection as I reread them. So today we'll start with two titles that have many stories: one for children called "Once Upon a Time" and another for older children and adults called "The Six Swans."

Hola a todos como sabrán la última vez les comenté sobre está colección de libros que tenía cuentos , historias y un poco de todo que se entregó hace años en estás cajas rojas particulares las cuales buscaban incentivar la lectura en los niños y escuelas por lo cual en estos días he estado reforzando un poco ella lectura de nuevo a través de estos para también hacer un poco de memoria y conectar con esos tiempos donde de niña solia leer sin parar de esta colección y bueno aprovechando también quiero ir mostrándoles un poco sobre los pequeños libros que tiene está colección a medida que valla leyéndolos de nuevo , así que bueno hoy comenzaremos con dos ejemplares que tienen muchas historias y que van destinados uno a niños llamado "Había una Vez" y otro a más jóvenes y adultos llamado "Los seis cisnes" .

Both books are a selection of the best-known stories, tales, and narratives from the Cuban publishing house Letras Cubanas. The book "Había una Vez" (Once Upon a Time) is by Herminio Almendros, a prominent Cuban whose contributions to culture include this compilation of stories, which stands out as some of the most classic and representative tales of children's literature. It features stories such as "La Gallinita Dorada" (The Little Golden Hen), "La Ranita Verde y el Ganso" (The Little Green Frog and the Goose), "La Cucarachita Martina" (Martina the Little Cockroach), "Los Chivitos Porfiados" (The Stubborn Little Goats), "El Gallo de Boda" (The Wedding Rooster), "Medio Pollito" (Half a Chick), "El Pus con Botas" (Puss in Boots), "La Bella Durmiente" (Sleeping Beauty), and many more, totaling almost 42 stories.

Ambos libros son una selección de las historias , cuentos y relatos más conocidos por parte de la editorial letras cubanas , en el libro de "Había una Vez" por parte de Herminio Almendros el cual un destacado cubano el cual entre sus aportes hacia la cultura está está compilación de historias la cual destaca como los cuentos más clásicos y representativos clásicos de la literatura para niños , en donde podemos encontrar cuentos como lo es "la gallinita dorada", "la ranita verde y el ganso " ," la cucarachita Martina" ," los chivitos porfiados","el gallo de boda","Medio pollito","El gato con botas","la bella durmiente" y muchos otros más con un total de casi 42 historias .

Something I really like about this little book is the visual art in the illustrations, which has a kind of bizarre touch, but I personally like it a lot because it's not like typical stories where the drawings are usually very cute or try to have that innocent feel to complement the story. However, in this case, the fact that it's not like that is precisely what makes it striking from my point of view, because it makes us see it from a different perspective when reading the story as a whole.

Algo que me gusta mucho de este pequeño libro es el arte visual que tiene en los dibujos lo cual es como un toque bizarro pero personalmente me gusta mucho ya que no es como las tipicos cuentos en donde los dibujos suelen ser muy tiernos o tratan de tener esa inocencia para que complemente sin embargo en este al no ser así es justo lo que lo hace llamativo desde mi punto de vista , por lo que hace que lo veamos desde una perspectiva distinta al momento de leer la historia en conjunto .

Now, the second book is a selection by Esteban Llorach Ramos of iconic and well-known tales by the brothers Jacob and Wilhelm Grimm, including "The Wolf and the Seven Little Goats", "The White Snake", "The Fisherman and the Woman", "The Singing Bone", "The Little Table, the Donkey and the Enchanted Stake", "The Six Swans", "The Twelve Brothers", and my personal favorites "The Juniper Tree", "The Three Spinners", "The Devil's Three Golden Hairs" and "Death's Godson", a total of 19 stories.

Ahora bien el segundo libro es una selección por parte de Esteban Llorach Ramos de cuentos icónicos y conocidos de los hermanos Jacob y Wilhelm Grimm entre los que se encuentran "El lobo y los siete cabritos ", "La serpiente blanca " ," El pescador y la Mujer" , " El hueso cantarin " , " La mesita , el asno y la estaca encantado " , " Los seis cisnes" ," Los doce hermanos " , y de los que son mis favoritos " El enebro" , " Las tres hilanderas" , " los tres pelos de oro del diablo " y " El ahijado de la Muerte" , siendo estos un total de 19 historias .

Regarding this one, the drawings and visual art are more detailed; you can even see drawings with many images beyond a simple representation of the plot to be told, all in black and white but with a lot of relief which in this case is quite beautiful in my opinion and for the complete opposite of the previous book, in this one the stories of the Brothers Grimm are known for being very direct, uncensored and raw which makes them interesting and that accompanied by beautiful visual art makes one immerse oneself in the story as if present in this ancient and Renaissance style.

Con respecto a este , los dibujos y arte visual es más detallado que incluso se puede ver dibujos con muchas imágenes más allá de una simple representación de la trama a contar , todos en blanco y negro pero con mucho relieve lo cual en este caso es bastante lindo a mi parecer y para todo lo contrario con el anterior libro en este las historias de los hermanos Grimm se conocen por ser muy directas , sin censura y crudas lo cual las hace interesantes y que acompañado con un arte visual lindo hace que uno se sumerja en la historia como si estuviera presente en este estilo antiguo y renacentista.

Likewise, the first book has short and small stories so that it is a quick read and you can even learn them, but in the second one the stories are long and entertaining, seeking a more leisurely reading comprehension so that you can better assimilate each event and hidden details that can be seen in each story, such as the story of the juniper, which is one of my favorites, which is raw but with a more than good ending for it, or the story of the three spinners, which teaches that not everything that is easy is the best option.

Así mismo el primer libro tiene historia cortas y pequeñas para que sea rápida la lectura y se pueda incluso aprender estás , pero en el segundo las historias con las largas y entretenida buscando que sea más pausada la compresión lectora que se le da a este así como poder asimilar mejor cada acontecimiento y detalles ocultos que se pueden ver en cada historia , como por ejemplo en la historia del enebro que es de mis favoritas la cual es cruda pero con un final más que bueno para este , o el de las tres hilanderas que va sobre enseñar acerca de que no todo lo fácil es la mejor opción .

These two books in particular are among my favorites, especially the second one, which my mom even shared with me. They contain interesting stories, and after years of reading them again, I remember them just by reading the title or seeing one of the illustrations. It's been quite pleasant to revisit them while reading each story, and I hope it continues as I go through this entire collection book by book. Estos dos libros en concreto son de los que más leía y sobre todo el segundo era el que incluso mi mamá me compartía ya que son historias interesantes y que luego de años volver a ver hace que las recuerde incluso con solo leer el título o ver alguno de los dibujos por lo que ha sido bastante agradable de recordar mientras leía cada historia y espero sea así mientras valla recorriendo toda esta colección libro a libro , así que sin más esperándo que sea de su agrado muchas gracias por leer.
