"Gaspy Camino a la velada " video review | [ENG/ESP]

This video took many of us by surprise because it's not the typical video where you see continuous training or interviews with people about their evolution. Instead, Gaspy introduced us directly to the mental, physical, and personal process of adapting and taking this challenge seriously.

Este video nos tomó a muchos por sorpresa porque no es el típico video donde se ven entrenamientos continuos o entrevistas a personas sobre la evolución de la persona en cuestión, sino que Gaspy nos introdujo directamente a lo que es el proceso mental, físico y personal que fue adaptarse y tomar en serio este reto.

Getting to perform this short film is a realization that, beyond using his influence to achieve something, he directly integrated himself with the environment where he was and continues to train, since something I liked and got goosebumps about was seeing it and understanding that it wasn't easy. And in the end, beyond just a creator going to a fight, he garnered massive support based on what it means, in this case, to represent his country and how someone who wasn't at all knowledgeable about boxing and how only dark and rough comedy can give it all to put on a real fight.

Llegar a interpretar este corto es darnos cuenta de que, más allá de usar su influencia para conseguir algo, él directamente se integró con el entorno donde estuvo y sigue entrenando, ya que algo que a mí me gustó y me puso la piel de gallina fue ver justamente y entender que no fue fácil. Y al final, más allá de un creador que va a un combate, logró un apoyo masivo en base a lo que es, en este caso, representar a su país y cómo alguien que no era para nada conocedor de boxeo y cómo solo la comedia oscura y ruda pasa a dejarse todo por dar una pelea real.

Likewise, on the mental side, we see how Gaspy struggles with his mind, not once or twice, but several times, how he has to back down and understand that leaving a part of himself behind is necessary, and even how we can see pressures and attachments in this short. And yes, I watched it very carefully to understand this, especially because of the image we had of a Gaspy who would fight in a suit and with some jokes, and after seeing this content, we have a different vision of him as a Gaspy who will go all out.

Así mismo lo mental, vemos como Gaspy lucha con su mente, no una ni dos, sino varias veces, como tiene que desdecir y entender que dejar parte de él es necesario e incluso cómo podemos ver presiones y apegos en este corto. Y sí, lo vi muy detenidamente para entender esto y más que todo por cómo estaba la imagen que teníamos de un gaspy que pelearía con traje y algún chiste, y luego de ver este contenido, estar con otra visión de que es un gaspy que irá por todo.

For me, this video is a gem in its portrayal of emotions and what it truly means to make a real change toward a goal despite social pressure and what it means to truly focus on oneself. Even in the final scenes, we can see how everyone, accompanied by their anthem, conveys that it's not about fame or ego, but about pride in conveying what real support is and what it entails.

Para mí este video es una joya en cuanto a la representación de las emociones y lo que realmente representa hacer un cambio real para un objetivo a pesar de la presión social y lo que es verdaderamente enfocarse en uno. Incluso en las escenas finales podemos ver cómo todos, en compañía de su himno, dan a entender que no es fama ni ego, sino orgullo por dar a entender lo que es apoyo real y lo que conlleva.

Of course, comedy is present in the short and in its direct style, but it doesn't distract from the main theme. Instead, it complements it, along with the large number of references to classic and well-known Argentine films that are captured in the minutes of the video, giving that extra gasp of bringing cinematic content with performances that, beyond showing, transmit.

Claro que la comedia está presente en el corto y en su estilo tan directo, pero no distrae del tema principal, sino que lo complementa junto con la gran cantidad de referencias a películas clásicas argentinas y conocidas que hay plasmadas en minutos del video, dando ese plus de gaspy de traer un contenido a nivel de cine con actuaciones que, más allá de mostrar, transmiten.

I must say that after watching this video for a long time, I was very moved, and so I wanted to share it with you here, because, why not? A little fanaticism and appreciation is worth showing from time to time, so, well, I hope you like it and can enjoy this video as much as I did, and nothing more.

Debo decir que después de mucho ver este video me dejó muy emocionada y por ende quise compartirlo acá con ustedes, ya que, ¿por qué no?
