Aquel despertador matutino | That morning alarm clock

It had been a week since the routine seemed to have settled in. It was always the same, and it barely bothered him anymore. He even remembered how it all started, that day when he woke up one morning out of nowhere to a constant noise. He heard small voices and laughter, and he didn't know where it was coming from.
As Alejandro peered out the window, half asleep, searching for the source of that sound, he saw, high up on what had once been a coconut tree, a blue macaw perched, making cheerful morning sounds. It was the first time he'd seen one, and he thought it was incredible, from its color to the way it moved and made noises. It seemed like it was searching for something in that trunk, or maybe it wanted to make a nest. Whatever it was, it was incredibly beautiful to his eyes.
He loved animals, all of nature. He had even recently moved to that place to be further away from the city, and he felt like this encounter proved that it had been worth it.

As the days passed, it was always the same time, this little friend made his morning sound, and he would wake up to see him. Sometimes he would leave small mounds of sunflower seeds early so he could calmly watch him eat. He had already taken some photos, but he still enjoyed recording the moment, something fun to remember forever. It didn't bother him, as many would think, to have a natural alarm every morning; on the contrary, he knew he was there long before he arrived, and listening to it every day made him feel like he wasn't alone, but that he had little animals that accompanied him daily.
He was so used to it that it was already a part of the reason he didn't realize winter was approaching. One rainless morning, Alejandro woke up bundled up from the cold but intrigued because he couldn't find his little friend. He searched for where he usually was every day, but he wasn't there. He waited for him for hours, but there was no sign. He just didn't understand much. He asked people close to him, and they told him it was normal; he should wait for the harsh winter to pass and then he would return.
For him it was something that made him a little uncontrollable, he was so used to the little macaw and that this daily thing woke him up that in the following days he couldn't wake up at the same time, he remembered it and waited a lot for his little friend so he was patiently passing his days until he could see those blue feathers again, sometimes he thought that maybe it wouldn't return and that it would only remain as a memory but he could only wait.

However, one morning the sun slowly warmed up and it seemed that everything would get warm, and while Alejandro was sleeping, not one but several noises began to sound very loud so he ran to the window and to his surprise there it was, that little one back although still larger he could distinguish it well but what made him even happier was that he wasn't alone there were more of various sizes and they were very happy perched in that place so a smile settled on his face and he understood the curious and extraordinary thing about nature.
And from then on, his days were once again filled with early morning sounds, new memories, and a unique connection he had formed and continued to grow with that friend who had once surprised him like a morning alarm.
