An anime full of tenderness and comedy: Acchi Kocchi [ENG/ESP]

Recently, talking with my best friend, I remembered an anime that undoubtedly marked a period for me in my university days, where I spent hours watching anime nonstop. Among these, there was one that I shared a lot with my sister because of its humor and design, as well as the witty ideas it had, which had us repeating for weeks; therefore, on this occasion I will give you my opinion on "Acchi kocchi"

Recientemente, hablando con mi mejor amigo, recordé un anime que sin duda para mí marcó una temporada en mi época universitaria, donde pasaba horas viendo anime sin parar, y entre estos había uno que compartía mucho con mi hermana por su humor y diseño, así como las ocurrencias que tenía, que nos tenían por semanas repitiendo; por ende, en esta oportunidad les daré mi opinión sobre "Acchi kocchi".

This is an anime that aired in 2012 with a chibi-style design and a romantic comedy category. At first, it may seem like a childish plot; however, it plays with a calm humor that, although it could be predictable, generates a lot of laughter, not just in a single character or moment, since it allows us to see the humor from various perspectives in its members. As its category also indicates, it brings us a developing romance that, although it could be the typical one we get to see, intrigues us and fills us beyond an expectation, a tenderness between chapters.

Este es un anime emitido en el año 2012 con un diseño en formato chibi y con una categoría de comedia romántica, y es que al principio puede verse como una trama infantil; sin embargo, este juega con un humor tranquilo que, aunque pudiera ser predecible, genera muchas risas, no solo en un personaje o momento, ya que este permite ver el humor desde varias perspectivas en sus integrantes, y como también lo indica su categoría, nos trae un romance que se va formando que, aunque pudiera ser el típico que llegamos a ver, nos causa intriga y nos llena más allá de una expectativa, una ternura entre capítulos.

In the plot we focus on Tsumiki, a girl who shows strong feelings towards one of her high school classmates, but it is something that, although everyone sees at first glance, the boy seems not to realize, creating the typical opportunities between them, who will be surrounded by a group of friends, each with a peculiar personality, and that will give way to key, unique and fun moments during each adventure, whether these are those of the typical high school or other well-known ones such as the beach or camping, likewise the element that stands out most in this series beyond the plot is the peculiar way of the protagonist, as well as a wide reference and mention that is made to cats throughout the series.

En la trama nos centramos en Tsumiki, una chica que muestra sentimientos fuertes hacia uno de sus compañeros de instituto, pero que es algo que, aunque todos ven a simple vista, el chico parece no darse cuenta, creándose las típicas oportunidades entre ambos, los cuales estarán rodeados de un grupo de amigos, cada uno con una peculiar personalidad, y que dará paso a momentos claves, únicos y divertidos durante cada aventura, siendo estas las del típico instituto u otras conocidas como la playa o el acampar, así mismo el elemento que más destaca en esta serie más allá de la trama es la forma peculiar de la protagonista, así como una amplia referencia y mención que se les hace a los gatos durante toda la serie.

However, even though this one has these scenes, what predominates is how they are approached, which is why many times the absurd moments of humor or randoms where each character's personality or antics take over the attention are key to not being pigeonholed into a specific character or moment, which allows us to enjoy each of them regardless of having preferences. Because although there are no explicit scenes or dark humor, they tend to play with certain moments, either by doing something very corny or the next second breaking it with something completely opposite, which leaves us wanting more.

Sin embargo, aunque este tenga estas escenas, lo que predomina es el cómo las abordan, por lo que muchas veces los momentos absurdos de humor o randons donde la personalidad o ocurrencias de cada personaje se apoderan de la atención son claves para no encasillarse en algún personaje o momento específico, lo que hace que como tal podamos disfrutar de cada uno de estos más allá de tener preferencias. Pues aunque no hay escenas explícitas o humor oscuro, suelen jugar con ciertos momentos, tanto con hacer algo muy cursi como al segundo siguiente romperlo con algo totalmente opuesto, lo que deja con ganas de más.

There are a total of 12 chapters plus an OVA. Although they're calm, with no fights or intense moments, they make for a smooth and enjoyable watch. Likewise, the opening and ending music are catchy and have a melody that complements the anime, as we can hear the same characters singing. I liked this and it meant that, even if I watched it again at different times, I still remembered the lyrics well, as well as key moments from the anime that stick with me for being so funny or crucial.

Son un total de 12 capítulos más una OVA. Que aunque son tranquilos, sin peleas o momentos muy fuertes, hacen que el disfrute de esta sea fluida y tranquila de ver; así mismo, en cuanto a la música del opening y ending, resultan ser pegajosos y con una melodía que complementa el anime, ya que podemos oír a los mismos personajes cantando, lo que a mí me gustó e hizo que, aunque la volviera a ver en tiempos distintos, aún me supiera y recordara bien la letra, así como momentos claves del anime que se me quedan grabados por lo divertidos o cruciales.

And it is that, despite the time since this came out and that at the time it was one of the most talked about and well-known, mostly because of the appearance of the protagonist or her moments where she is with her cat ears, it continues to be a reference that anime that do not have a heavy plot, if they are done well, can be well received and remembered and, like this memory, also some that had this style and managed to remain as recommendations for all tastes, and in my case it is one that I would always like to watch often and without getting tired.

Y es que, a pesar del tiempo desde que este salió y que en su momento fue uno de los más comentados y conocidos, más que todo por el aspecto de la protagonista o sus momentos donde está con sus orejas de gato, sigue siendo un referente de que animes que no tienen una trama pesada, si se hacen bien, pueden ser bien recibidos y recordados y, como este recuerdo, también algunos que tenían este estilo y lograron mantenerse como recomendaciones para todos los gustos, y en mi caso es uno que siempre me gustaría ver seguido y sin cansarme.
