Making art [eng/es]

Artists have a different, special view of the world. Where the rest of the people see the simplest objects, they see colors and shapes. They achieve a perfect synchrony between reality and fantasy. Today I share one of the coolest places in the city of Havana, which achieves a mix between a great architecture and a well thought-out design with art.
I am referring to the Fábrica de Arte Cubano, a place located in Havana's Vedado district that exhibits the best of Cuban contemporary art in all its manifestations.

Los artistas tienen una visión diferente, y especial del mundo. Donde el resto de las personas ven los objetos más simples, ellos ven colores y formas. Logran una sincronía perfecta entre la realidad y la fantasía. Hoy comparto uno de los lugares más geniales que tiene la ciudad de La Habana, y que logra una mezcla entre una arquitectura grandiosa, y un diseño con arte bien pensado.
Me refiero a la Fábrica de Arte Cubano, un sitio ubicado en el Vedado habanero que expone lo mejor del arte contempóraneo cubano en todas sus manifestaciones.

Whenever I walked along 26th Street, just before crossing the well-known Iron Bridge that divides the Plaza de la Revolución and Playa municipalities, my gaze was lost in the large building, which is adorned with sculptures of sharks, which made me think that the place is an ocean of surprises.

Siempre que recorría la calle 26, justo antes de cruzar el conocido Puente de Hierro que divide los municipios Plaza de la Revolución y Playa, mi mirada se perdía en la gran edificación, que está adornada con unas esculturas de tiburones, lo cual me hacía pensar que el local es un océano de sorpresas.

Until finally I could enter: the installation is divided into four naves, but most of them are currently closed because they are making a change of the exhibition series, and they will open soon, this is a process that they always do in a few days. Nevertheless, walking through the main entrance is enough to admire a modern and attractive design.
The entrance hallway has many plants with a green that gives a very natural environment, you can notice the attention that is given to them. Currently, the importance of recycling and reusing products of all kinds is promoted; the use of more natural and sustainable energy sources and the constant and rapid development of fashion.

Hasta que al fin pude entrar: la instalación está divida en cuatro naves, pero la mayoría de ellas están cerradas actualmente porque están haciendo un cambio de las series expositivas, y van a abrir con prontitud, este es un proceso que siempre realizan en muy pocos días. No obstante, caminar por la entrada principal es suficiente para admirar un diseño moderno y atractivo.
El pasillo de entrada posee muchas plantas con un verde que le da un ambiente muy natural, se nota la atención que se les brinda. Actualmente se promueve la importancia de reciclar y reutilizar productos de todo tipo; el uso de fuentes de energía más naturales y sostenibles y el desarrollo constante y rápido de la moda.

I really liked the furniture they use, usually high tables and stools, which are in keeping with the informal gastronomic service offered in the place. The yellow ones are my favorite.

Me gustó mucho el mobiliario que usan, por lo general son mesas altas y banquetas, que están acorde al servicio gastronómico informal que se ofrece en el lugar. Las amarillas son mis preferidas.

In the entrance area of nave 3 there is a very unique sculpture that reflects the body of a woman covered with a cloth from head to toe, and on the floor there are some large car chambers painted orange.

En el área de entrada de la nave 3 hay una escultura muy singular que refleja el cuerpo de una mujer tapada con una tela que le cubre de la cabeza a los pies, y en el piso se encuentran unas grandes recámaras de autos pintadas de color naranja.

A white bicycle caught my attention, here in the capital it is not a very common form of transportation, but where I come from you can find cyclists of all ages on every block. On the wall behind the bicycle I read a phrase that I found spectacular: "Owning fewer keys allows you to open more doors". I share it with you because I know you can't read it in the photo.

Llamó mucho mi atención una bicicleta blanca, aquí en la capital no es un transporte muy común, pero de donde vengo se pueden encontrar ciclistas de todas las edades en cada cuadra. En la pared que se encuentra detrás de la bicicleta leí una frase que me pareció espectacular: "Poseer menos llaves permite abrir más puertas". Se las comparto porque sé que no alcanza a leerse en la foto.

At the end of a wide red metal stairs there is a very nice drawing of a yellow bus, like the ones regularly used to transport students, which has some picturesque touches of red and blue as well.

Al final de unas amplias escaleras rojas de metal hay un dibujo muy bonito de un autobús amarillo, como los usados regularmente para trasladar estudiantes, lo que posee unos toques pintorescos de rojo y azul también.

Even the corridor that gives access to the restroom seemed nice to me, usually these areas are sometimes a little forgotten. The door at the end gives access to a room dedicated to Humberto Solás, who was an important Cuban film director, producer and screenwriter.

Incluso el pasillo que da acceso al sanitario me pareció agradable, por lo general estas son áreas a veces un poco olvidadas. La puerta que está al final da acceso a una sala dedicada a Humberto Solás, quien fue un importante director de cine, productor y guionista cubano.

It also has several points of sale to buy food, from above I could see one of them that reminded me that it was already 3 o'clock in the afternoon: time for my espresso coffee.

También consta de varios puntos de venta para adquirir alimentos, desde arriba pude observar uno de ellos que me recordó que ya eran las 3 de la tarde: la hora de mi café expreso.
