A walk full of history and culture: Julio Antonio Mella park and monument [eng/spa]

Last Wednesday I had to go to the University of Havana to do some business, and after finishing my work, I decided to have a different experience to end the day in a more enjoyable way. I consider that one of the best ways to take advantage of our time is to do activities that take us to a state of relaxation and enjoyment.
Thinking of a place nearby, I headed for the park and monument to Julio Antonio Mella, which is located right in front of the majestic steps of the university, in the central Vedado district of the capital. Today I tell you about my Wednesday walk and my experience in this place, and I highly recommend the visit.

El pasado miércoles tuve que ir a la Universidad de La Habana para realizar unas gestiones laborales, y luego de terminar mi trabajo, decidí tener alguna experiencia diferente para terminar el día de forma más amena. Considero que una de las mejores maneras de aprovechar nuestro tiempo es haciendo actividades que nos trasladen a un estado de relajación y disfrute.
Pensando en algún lugar cercano, me dirigí hacia el parque y monumento a Julio Antonio Mella, que está ubicado justo en frente de la majestuosa escalinata de la universidad, en el céntrico reparto capitalino Vedado. Hoy les cuento sobre mi paseo de miércoles y mi experiencia en este lugar, y desde ya, recomiendo la visita.

This is an ideal place for people who enjoy cultural tourism and learning a little more about the history of the people. In addition to the excellent geographical location of this place, normally, in the afternoons it is very busy with university students.
In this area the temperature is very pleasant, due to the shade offered by the vegetation, so it is an oasis in the middle of a city characterized by high temperatures.
The monument measures more than 15 meters, and preserves the ashes of the remains of Mella, who is the figure to whom it is dedicated, as well as a plaque that expresses one of his most famous phrases.

Este es un espacio ideal para las personas que disfrutan del turismo cultural, y de conocer un poco más de la historia de los pueblos. Además de la excelente ubicación geográfica de este lugar, normalmente, en las tardes es muy transitado por estudiantes universitarios.
En esa zona la temperatura es muy agradable, debido a la sombra que ofrece la vegetación, así que constituye un oasis en medio de una ciudad caracterizada por las altas temperaturas.
El monumento mide más de 15 metros, y conserva las cenizas de los restos de Mella, que es la figura al cual está dedicado; además de una tarja que expresa una de sus frases más conocidas.

Near the monument there is a park that is also part of this complex, and in front of it there is a gallery with photos of this figure.
I was very impressed by the vegetation of this place, which undoubtedly has an unusual and striking greenery.

Cercano al monumento se encuentra un parque que también forma parte de este complejo, y en frente una galería con fotos de esta figura.
De este lugar me impactó muchísimo su vegetación, que sin dudas tiene un verdor inusual y llamativo.
