A place to enjoy the sea and friends [eng/spa]

A few weeks ago I visited the Grand Aston Hotel for work, but I liked this building so much that I decided to visit it again at the first opportunity I had. And that opportunity came last weekend, with the aim of celebrating the birthday of one of my friends, we met there to enjoy between laughter and coffee in one of its gastronomic points. The idea was born from me, and everyone in the group agreed.
Since I already knew that this place had a fascinating architecture, I decided to arrive a few minutes earlier than agreed in order to take some pictures. I began by taking a close look at its façade, which stands out for its frequent use of glass, which seems to have been designed in combination with the color of the sky and the beautiful sea that stretches in front of it, on the iconic Havana Malecon.
I would like to take this opportunity to mention that this hotel is located in Havana's Vedado district, and I can assure you that it does not go unnoticed when passing through the area.

Hace algunos semanas visité el hotel Grand Aston por cuestiones de trabajo, pero me gustó tanto esta edificación que me propuse recorrerla nuevamente en la primera oportunidad que tuviese. Y esa oportunidad llegó el pasado fin de semana, que con el objetivo de celebrar el cumpleaños de uno de mis amigos, nos dimos cita allí para disfrutar entre risas y café en uno de sus puntos gastronómicos. La idea nació de mí, y todos en el grupo estuvieron de acuerdo.
Como ya sabía que este lugar tenía una arquitectura fascinante, decidí llegar unos minutos antes de lo pactado para poder tomar algunas fotos. Comencé observando con detenimiento su fachada, que destaca por el uso frecuente de cristales, los cuales parecen haber sido diseñados en combinación con la tonalidad del cielo y el hermoso mar que se extiende en su frente, en el icónico Malecón habanero.
Aprovecho para mencionar que este hotel está ubicado en el Vedado habanero, y puedo asegurar que no pasa desapercibido cuando se transita la zona.

Our idea was to enjoy a cafeteria located on the second floor of the hotel, which can be accessed both from the lobby and from the corridor that borders 1st Street. This place is called Terrace Gold, and no doubt its name suits it very well.
This is a cafeteria that has most of its tables located outdoors, so it offers a refreshing breeze in a city like Havana, which has quite high temperatures and humidity during most of the year.
The presence of its green vegetation offers a touch of naturalness, and I could also notice that it is very well preserved. The cafeteria becomes, then, a refuge not only for lovers of good coffee, but also for those who are looking for a break from the hectic urban life.

Nuestra idea era disfrutar de una cafetería que está ubicada en la primera planta del hotel, a la cual se puede acceder tanto desde el lobby como desde el pasillo que colinda con la calle 1ra. Este lugar se llama terraza Oro, y sin dudas su nombre le viene muy bien.
Esta es una cafetería que posee la gran mayoría de sus mesas ubicadas al aire libre, por lo que regala una brisa refrescante, en una ciudad como La Habana que tiene unos grados de temperatura y humedad bastante altos durante la mayor parte del año.
La presencia de su verde vegetación le ofrece un toque de naturalidad, y además pude notar que esta se encuentra muy bien preservada. La cafetería se convierte, entonces, en un refugio no solo para los amantes del buen café, sino también para aquellos que buscan una pausa en la agitada vida urbana.

The structure of the cafeteria is designed to blend harmoniously with the surroundings, providing shade without obstructing the breathtaking ocean views.
The furniture is made up of wooden tables, which have an excellent finish. These tables have capacity for 4 diners, and in our case, as we were going to be a group of 8 friends, we had already booked to join two tables.

La estructura de la cafetería está diseñada para integrarse armoniosamente con el entorno, proporcionando sombra sin obstruir las impresionantes vistas del océano.
El mobiliario está conformado por mesas de madera, las cuales tienen un excelente acabado. Estas mesas tienen capacidad para 4 comensales, y en nuestro caso, como íbamos a ser un grupo de 8 amigos, ya habíamos reservado para unir dos mesas.

The area where the bar is located is in a covered area. There the floors are made of marble, and have a shine that makes them sparkle. One of the food service clerks told me that many customers like to sit in that area to feel closer to the sea.
The cafeteria also has a usable area on the second floor, but this is currently closed, so I had to get a shot from the second floor. The staircase leading up to it has dark-colored metal railings.

El área donde está ubicada la barra del bar se encuentra en una zona techada. Allí los pisos son de mármol, y tienen un brillo que los hace resplandecer. Uno de los dependientes de servicios gastronómicos me comentó que muchos clientes gustan de sentarse en esa zona para sentirse más cerca del mar.
La cafetería también tiene zona útil en su segunda planta, pero esta actualmente está cerrada, así que tuve que captar una toma desde el primer piso. La escalera para acceder hasta esta tiene unas barandas metálicas de color oscuro.

The afternoon in this terrace was delicious, because the pleasant atmosphere that offers a good design and the excellent company that I could enjoy. I was very pleased when my friends thanked me for the invitation.

La tarde en esta terraza fue bien deliciosa, pues se mezcló el ambiente agradable que ofrece un buen diseño y la excelente compañía de la que pude disfrutar. Sentí mucho placer cuando mis amigos me agradecieron la invitación.
