Zaahen Carry! TFT Set 16

avatar

There are still champions who have never appeared in Teamfight Tactics before. One of them is Zaahen, who is also new to the League of Legends universe. This champion's story is very interesting because he appears to be a transformed version of Xin Zhao. This has been beautifully executed in TFT as well; you'll understand what I mean when you see it.

You can watch the whole gameplay here:

This game featured Zilean paying us a visit and revealing that the final augment will be prismatic. It's going to be a spectacular finale.

You can't play Zaheen as a carrier whenever you want. You need the Trials of Twilight augment. This augment transforms Xin Zhao from a tank into a carrier. When you reach 3 stars with Xin Zhao and complete 5 fights with him, Xin Zhao disappears from your throne and is replaced by a 2-star Zaheen.

I lost the first 3 battles, but then I upgraded Xin Zhao to 2 stars and completed one of his items, so I won 2 battles. I'm not doing too badly, but the real problem is upgrading Xin Zhao to 3 stars. This won't be easy because there are always a few people using this champion in every lobby.

Band of Thieves is my indispensable silver augment. You already know what it does, so I won't explain it again.

In the mid-game, I had 3 losses and won two fights. The only problem is that I can't find Xin Zhao. If I waste too much time at level 6, I won't be able to find the other champions I need to complete my composition.

For the final augment, I chose Radiant Relics. This augment grants me a radiant item. I didn't have many good options, so I went with the Radiant Spear of Shojin. I plan to give this item to Lucian later on.

The sooner I get Xin Zhao to three stars, the better, because I need to reach Zaahen as soon as possible. That's why I spent a bit too much gold, and the game never let me get Xin Zhao to three stars. I got him to three stars in the middle of the fourth stage, but now I'm at level 6 and have 0 gold.

I reached Zaahen in stage 5, and I must admit that Zaahen is one of my favorite champions to watch in this set. He's like immortal. By the way, one of his traits is called “immortal” XD This trait works like this. When Zaahen kills an enemy, he gains a Resolve charge. If he reaches 3 charges, he respawns with 60% health when he dies. Crazy, right?

I suffered a lot up to this stage, but as far as I can tell, I'm overpowered right now and beating my opponents with just one champion. As for Zaahen's best items, they are Hand of Justice, Infinity Edge, and Titan's Resolve. There are many champions in this set with disgusting crowd control, so Titan's Resolve is an important item.

If you want to see how Zaahen revived after dying, you can watch this fight. My opponent must have been really angry. He lost to a level 7 player and got eliminated. Plus, he had a level 9, 2-star Mel. So he was really in a strong position.

I found a nice side carry. Annie will do well until Lucian arrives. Especially with the Radiant Spear of Shojin, it's a great combo.

Zaahen must be super annoying for my opponents XD He's been played against me a few times, and I went crazy. Because the champion deals so much damage, and even if you kill him, he revives. What kind of champion can do that? XD

Unfortunately, my dreams didn't last long and my level 9 opponent with a good late-game composition eliminated me. This isn't too surprising because my economy was terrible. Normally, at this stage, I should have been level 9 and found my champions, but I only managed to reach level 9 and couldn't find most of my champions.

In the end, I came in 3rd, and I had fun playing this composition. I had as much fun as if I had won first place. Thanks for reading, gamers! See you in the next post!
