We Have a Colony - Frostpunk 2
Hello people trying to survive in this cold weather, our goal is to get through these hard days together and enjoy the warm days when they come. I love to keep this series going and I will keep sharing it with you until I get used to the new set in Teamfight Tactics.
In the previous episode, I solved the city's resource shortage and now I've started to stockpile and build a colony for the decrepit Dreadnought, which will give me access to the oil fields. For the first time the Council told me to withdraw a law. I didn't listen to them at the moment, but I think they may force me to do so in the future.
I've started researching a forward logistics center, which will provide me with 20 reconnaissance teams. I need to speed up if I want to explore the entire map.
Cores have always been important in this game, so I will bring them to our city wherever I can find them.
Right now I have so much material production that my stocks will run out very quickly. That's why it's useful to build a material storage center.
Now that's great! We found an automaton in Kıraç Plains. I will fix it with 150 pre-produced materials and it will save me 800 workforce. I wish I had 10 automatons now, that would be great!
An old man came and asked me to pass a law on funerals. He wants to die and be buried next to his wife, but some people in the city want him to donate his dead body.
I have to keep the promise I made before the funerals. I passed the city development activities in the community service act. I don't need to do any negotiations because it already has more than 50% support. We made that promise in the previous chapter.
The decrepit Dreadnought is ready for the colony. I'm going to send colonists there. It's very exciting! Let's see if it's still as we left it or if we'll find something else.
Sending all those people out of the city caused a lot of confusion. Most businesses are not operating at their optimum level right now because so many employees have left. Now I have to organize the workforce better.
The more resources I can find now, the better. That's why I sent an expedition to the Frozen Ocean, which has the most resources.
In this game you are punished very quickly. My funeral organizer just told me and now there is a fight at a funeral. I need to find a solution to this immediately.
Goods is something I can't get from the outposts on the map. If there is a building that allows me to produce 60 goods per week, I'd better investigate it. Again I had to choose between communities and I chose the one that requires less labor.
I didn't know that my research would lead to a compulsory law. It turns out that after I do the research, I have to get it approved by the parliament. Now the pathfinder scouts are active.
Damn, this place is not the way I left it, I'll have to rebuild. Let's start by launching a frost conquest towards the oil.
It's high time to let the exiled people into the city because I need a lot of labor right now. I know not all of them will join me as labor, but if I can get 700 labor out of 1300 people, that will make my work easier.
People are divided on how to use the oil once it reaches our city. I think they are in a bit of a hurry because we haven't even brought the oil to our city yet. But I understand that the way we use the oil is going to be a major milestone.
In real life I would have liked to see more funerals, but in the game it makes more sense to make use of funerals. It will reduce sickness and increase the speed of research. That's a big win. What would you do? Would you support the use of the bodies of the dead for science or would you want them to sleep in peace? When answering this question, I want you to think about a relative, not your own funeral. Would you want your brother to have a grave or would you want his body to be used for science? Don't forget to share your answers with me in the comments.
I think we've made great progress in this episode, we now have a new colony! We will see what will greet us in the next episode. Thank you for reading, I hope you enjoyed it. Take care and have a great day!
Thanks!
Just when things start running smoothly, something like a funeral dispute throws everything off. Managing people seems just as tough as managing supplies, this is not for the faint of heart hahaha, you're going to be a pro legend at this eventually
But come to think of it, why do the people want the man to donate his dead body, what do they wanna use it for?
