Stake House Den Roulette & Blackjack Tutorial and Gameplay
Hey, I'm still hooked on Hive blockchain games. Today, we'll take another look at the Stake House Den game, and I'll try out some mini-games I haven't tried before. I've been saving up Hot Sauce for about 5 days now so I can try these games.
Roulette
First, let's take a look at Roulette. I must admit I've never visited a casino and am not familiar with these games online either. Back in high school, there was a topic called “probabilities” in math class. We calculated some probabilities with our teacher there. That's why I thought about roulette for a while, but that's all. Let's select Roulette from the main page.
It looks very complex, doesn't it? It's actually quite simple. Each betting area is separated by lines. For example, if I think one of the numbers in the first row will come up, I should play the C3 bet. Or I can choose the 3rd 12 for one of the numbers from 25 to 36. I can bet directly on a number. I can place a bet on whether it will be even or odd, or I can bet on black or red.
If you click on the “Show complex bets” option in the top left, you can also place more complex bets. For example, if you think one of 1, 2, 4, or 5 will come up, click on the purple section in the middle and your bet will be split between these numbers. This way, it is also possible to place six-way, two-way, or other different bets. When you hover your mouse over it, you can see which numbers are included in which area in the black area above.
Of course, I'm not looking for anything complicated, so in my first game, I placed a bet directly on red.
I lost the first one and wanted to try again. After all, if black came up once, red should come up the second time, right? Unfortunately, that's not how it works :) Black came up again the second time, and I lost again.
Three times I bet on a number between 12 and 24, but unfortunately, I failed there too. I guess roulette just isn't for me.
I bet on black once and won. Maybe black is the color for this session. Sometimes the same numbers or colors can come up in a row. In fact, this happens a lot, and people bet each time thinking the other color will come up. But this is a big mistake. After all, the probability is approximately 47.5% each time. It's not 50% because there are two green sections.
I left roulette so as not to push my luck any further. When you leave the game, you can see the total amount of Colony tokens you've won. If you stake Colony, it increases the amount of Colony you win from these games.
Blackjack
Let's go back to the home page and play some Blackjack. I think everyone knows blackjack, but it's still worth explaining briefly. Because unlike roulette, not everything depends on luck. After confirming the amount of Hot Sauce you want to bet, the game will start.
The goal in Blackjack is to have a total of 21 with the cards in your hand, or to be closer to 21 than your opponent without going over. For example, I lost the first game I played because my two visible cards were a J and a 7. The only card I saw from my opponent was a 10. Here, I was expecting the computer to draw a 7 or lower card, and if it drew another card that exceeded 21, it would lose, but it drew another 10 and won. Because it was closer to 21 than me. Jack, Queen, and King count as 10. The numbers are as they are, and you can use the Ace as either 1 or 11 depending on the situation of your cards.
In the second game, I had 18 and again chose to stand because the computer's upcard was a 4. It drew a 6 and then a 7. Since the computer prefers to stand on 17 or higher when playing Blackjack, I won because I was closer to 21.
In the third game, my hand was 7, and I drew a 9 from the deck and chose to stay at 16. This was because if I drew a card over 5, I would automatically lose, but this was a mistake, and the computer made 18 and won. I think I should have kept drawing until I had at least 18, considering my opponent's cards as well.
After that, I managed to win a few more games. I'll show you some examples here. In this game, I managed to get 21, which is the best number you can get in Blackjack. The computer stayed at 18, so I won.
In another game I won, I chose to stay at 19, and the computer went over 21 while drawing cards. I mentioned that you lose as soon as you go over 21.
If you laugh at your opponent, the same thing will happen to you :) In the next round, I went over 21 and lost.
After the games, if you click on the blue box below, you can also review the order of the cards played. I think this is a nice feature.
I think Blackjack is the game I've won the most, including slots. It's the game with the least luck factor, but of course, everything is still luck. Even getting a 10 on the first hand makes you feel good. When you get a 5, 6, or 7, your chances of losing are higher.
After that, I played a few more rounds of Slots but didn't win anything. I think Blackjack will be my favorite game, but when I've accumulated enough Hot Sauce, I'll share a post comparing the winnings from all the mini games. Stay tuned for that.
Thank you for reading, don't forget to share your thoughts in the comments. They're valuable to me, and thanks to you, I'm learning more about the game. See you in the next post!
Diria que en la ruleta seria donde perderia mas rapido mi dinero honestamente jajaj
I totally agree, the fastest way to lose money is roulette XD My lowest win rate is in roulette.
