Stake House Den Blackjack Experiment

In my previous post, I shared an experiment I conducted with you regarding the roulette game at Stake House Den, and by betting only on greens in the roulette game, we earned some Colony tokens, and I think I was quite lucky. Today, I will share with you the experiment I conducted in the Blackjack game.

I've explained what Blackjack is in my previous posts, but simply put, it's a game where you try to reach 21 or the number closest to 21 by drawing cards. Your opponent is the dealer, and if they get closer to 21 than you, you lose. If it's a tie, the bet is canceled, and you get your hot sauce back. If you get closer to 21 than the dealer, you win the game.

I thought recording the game would make many things clearer for you. So I recorded about 7 minutes of gameplay. I tried to play as fast as possible while recording so viewers wouldn't get bored, and that was challenging. I hope you enjoy watching it :)

Now I realize that sometimes even staying at 16 can win you the game. There's also a psychological difference between drawing two cards to reach 16 and drawing four cards to reach 16. If I had drawn two cards, I would probably have drawn one more, but since I drew four cards, I stayed, and I won because the dealer went over 21.

I didn't play all the games I played during this recording, and there are two reasons for that. First, I noticed the game was slowing down. After winning a game, it took time to process, and second, I forgot to check how many Hot Sos I had when I started playing. So I paused the recording to check how many Hot Sos I had. Because I want to spend the same amount of Hot Sos as in the previous experiment, exactly 600.

Even if I hadn't paused the recording there, I would have had to pause it because I got an error in the game and had to refresh the page. The reason for this error was that both the dealer and I had 21. But it wasn't a hand that reached 21 with just 2 cards. Both the dealer and I drew cards from the deck, and as a result, we reached 21. Maybe that's why the error occurred. I left a message about the error in the Discord server channel. If you want to chat about the game or share any errors you've seen, you can join the Discord server here.

I had to bet 10 hot sauce 60 times to spend 600 hot sauce. I don't know exactly how many I won and lost, but I know exactly how many colony tokens I earned. The number you see on the screen is incorrect because I refreshed the page. The correct amount is 1,097.

In the previous experiment, I had won nearly 1.5 times that amount. So, even by betting only on greens in roulette, I can win more rewards than in blackjack. Of course, in none of the 60 roulette games might a green come up, which would make the profit 0, but the same applies to blackjack. The house's hand could always be very good, and you could lose most of the time, spending 600 hot sauce and earning 0.5 Colony tokens.

Thanks for reading. The next experiment will be on Slots, and I'm very hopeful about it. Let's see how many Colony tokens I can get by spinning the slots 60 times. See you in the next post. You can find the links related to the game below.
