Living with a cat is still relatively new to me. Since we moved into our new home at the beginning of September, Pamuk, my wife, and I have been living together. It hasn't even been two months yet, but I'm slowly starting to feel like she's getting used to me. Every day she spends more time with me and acts more affectionate.

Her favorite thing is sleeping, and she used to do that far away from me. I've shared photos of her sleeping on top of the refrigerator on Snap before. If you go to my profile on Peakd, you can see many more photos of Pamuk in the snaps section. Although I haven't been very active lately, there are some very cute photos from a few weeks ago. Anyway, now she prefers to sleep next to me. She usually sleeps on the couch where I sit or somewhere where she can see me.

Yes, that's on top of the refrigerator. But she doesn't sleep there anymore. She just likes to be there while food is being cooked. The top of the fridge is quite warm, and I shared a snap where I couldn't understand why she was lying there even in the summer. My wife said she likes being up high, but now I'm sure Pamuk likes lying in warm places even in hot weather. Her being there while food is being cooked in the kitchen is a sign of that.

Those who live with cats know that this is their pre-hunting behavior. They lock onto their prey. The next step is to pounce. If you are the prey, don't try to hide. Show yourself and they will give up on hunting you. But if you're hiding behind the door or something, then get ready for a big attack :D

How comfortable can a cat sleep? This relaxed! The last time I slept this comfortably, I think I was a baby. Doesn't it look incredibly peaceful? Seeing it like this makes me happy too because I think it feels good.

Another photo while sleeping. Cats spend most of the day sleeping. Sometimes they sleep for 20 hours. That's why it's possible to take such cute photos of them at any moment.

Right after waking up. The most innocent moment when they want love the most. Lately, Pamuk comes and sits on my lap after waking up, and sometimes even cuddles. I wish you could see how she cuddles, but I don't have a chance to take a photo at that moment. I just enjoy it.

The other day, my wife found something that looked like a yellow cupcake mold, and only one thing crossed my mind. I had to put it on Pamuk's head and take a photo, but she would never let me do that while she was awake. So we did it while she was asleep. She woke up immediately, but I acted quickly and managed to capture a few shots, though they came out a bit dark.

So what do cats do when they're not sleeping? Even if you get them the nicest beds, even if they have the nicest blankets, one of their favorite things is to get inside a bag. They never miss an opportunity. Sometimes they make a mess when their tail gets stuck in the bag, but once they successfully get inside, they're very peaceful.

Another hobby is getting under the blanket we put on the couch. She loves hiding there. She even attacks us from under it sometimes XD The day I took this photo was very scary. The room was dark, and ger eyes were glowing under the blanket. Luckily, I immediately recognized it was Pamuk and showed it to my wife. She was scared at first, then laughed.

Living with a cat certainly has its challenges, but it's mostly a great pleasure. You have a fur ball that loves to be loved (not always) and grows attached to you over time. Every day, you build stronger bonds with it and its happiness becomes your happiness.

Bir kediyle birlikte yaşamak benim için hala yeni sayılır. Eylülün başında yeni evimize taşındığımızdan beri pamuk, eşim ve ben birlikte yaşıyoruz. Yani henüz iki ay bile olmadı ama yavaş yavaş onun bana alıştığını hissediyorum. Her geçen gün benimle daha çok zaman geçiriyor ve daha yakın davranıyor.

En sevdiği şey uyumak ve bunu eskiden benden çok uzakta yapardı. Buzdolabının üzerinde uyuduğu fotoğrafları daha önce Snap olarak paylaşmıştım. Peakd üzerinden profilime girerseniz snaps bölümünde çok daha fazla Pamuk fotoğrafı görebilirsiniz. Bu aralar pek aktif olmasam da birkaç hafta önceden çok tatlı fotoğraflar var. Her neyse, şimdi ise uyurken benim yanımda olmayı tercih ediyor. Genelde ya benim oturduğum koltukta uyuyor ya da beni görebileceği bir yerde.

Evet, işte buzdolabının üzerinde. Ama artık orada uyumuyor. Sadece yemek pişirilirken orada olmayı seviyor. Buzdolabının üstü oldukça sıcak ve yaz aylarında bile orada neden yattığını anlamadığım bir snap paylaşmıştım. Eşim ise yüksekte olmayı sevdiğini söyledi ama artık eminim Pamuk sıcak havalarda bile sıcak yerlerde yatmayı seviyor. Mutfakta yemek pişirilirken orada olması buna bir işaret.

Kediyle yaşayanlar bilir ki bu onların avlanma öncesi hareketi. Avına adeta kilitleniyorlar. Bir sonraki aşama ise atlamak oluyor. Av olan sizseniz saklanmaya çalışmayın. Kendinizi gösterin ve avlamaktan vazgeçiyorlar. Ama kapının arkasında falan saklanıyorsanız o zaman büyük bir saldırıya hazırlanın :D

Bir kedi ne kadar rahat uyuyabilir ki? İşte bu kadar rahat! En son böyle rahat bir şekilde uyuduğumda sanırım bebektim. Aşırı huzurlu görünmüyor mu? Onu böyle görmek beni de mutlu ediyor çünkü kendini iyi hissettiğini düşünüyorum.

Bir başka uyurken fotoğrafı. Kediler günün çoğunu uyuyarak geçiriyor. Bazen 20 saat uyudukları oluyor. Bu yüzden her an böyle tatlı fotoğraflarını çekmek mümkün.

Uyandıktan hemen sonrası. En masum ve sevgiyi en çok istedikleri an. Pamuk bugünlerde uyandıktan sonra gelip kucağıma oturuyor ve hatta bazen sarılıyor. Nasıl sarıldığını görmenizi çok isterdim ama o an fotoğraf çekmeye fırsatım olmuyor. Sadece tadını çıkarıyorum.

Geçtiğimiz günlerde eşim sarı bir kap kek kalıbına benzeyen bir şey buldu ve aklımdan tek bir şey geçti. Bunu pamuğun başına koyup bir fotoğraf çekmeliydim ama uyanıkken buna asla izin vermiyor. Bu yüzden uyurken bunu yaptık, hemen uyandı ama ben çok hızlı davranıp birkaç kare yakalamayı başardım, sadece biraz karanlık çıkmış.

Peki uyumadığında kediler ne yapıyor? Onlara en güzel yatakları alsanız da, en güzel battaniyelere sahip olsalar da en sevdikleri şeylerden biri poşetin içine girmek. Hiçbir fırsatı kaçırmıyorlar. Bazen kuyruğu poşete takıldığında ortalığı birbirine katsalar da içine başarıyla girdiğinde çok huzurlu oluyorlar.

Bir başka hobisi koltuğa örttüğümüz örtünün altına girmek. Bu şekilde orada saklanmaya bayılıyor. Hatta altından bazen bize saldırıyor XD Bu fotoğrafı çektiğim gün ise çok korkutucuydu. Odanın ışığı kapalıydı ve örtünün altında gözleri parlıyordu. Neyse ki Pamuk olduğunu hemen fark ettim ve eşime gösterdim. O da önce korktu ve sonra güldü.

Bir kediyle yaşamanın zorlukları var elbette ama çoğunlukla büyük bir keyif. Kendini sevdiren bir tüy yumağına sahipsiniz(her zaman değil) ve zamanla size bağlanıyor. Her geçen gün onunla daha kuvvetli bağlar kuruyorsunuz ve onun mutluluğu sizin mutluluğunuz oluyor.
