I have never shared anything with you about shopping before. Perhaps the post I wrote about gifts could count. To be honest, I can't say that I enjoy shopping. But today I realized something. Shopping makes me feel good.

The products are the ones I bought. The background was added using ChatGPT. It turned out much better than I expected. I chose this method because the place was messy.

When I enter a store, I’m the type of person who first examines things, then tries on a few items I like, and finally buys the ones that look good on me. That’s why I don’t spend hours in a clothing store. I can’t say I shop a lot either. I like to wear the things I buy for a long time. I don’t have an excessive amount of clothing, and I don’t feel the need to. Recently, I realized I had very few shorts for summer, so I decided to shop online.

I don't know if you prefer shopping online or in stores, but I'm generally someone who shops in stores. Especially when it comes to clothes, if the product you receive is defective, the return process, re-purchasing, and so on can be a significant time loss. In Turkey, this process takes at least two weeks. However, when you shop in a store, you already examine the product before purchasing it, and the chance of it being defective is very low. If you want to return it, you can go to the store the next day with your receipt, and the return is completed. So, online shopping is like taking a big gamble. Of course, I try to minimize this by reading reviews of the product I’m going to buy and the store’s reviews. I always choose reliable websites. I’ve never bought clothes through Instagram before, even though it’s very common in Turkey.

Another issue is whether the product will fit you. The sizes of products online can be surprising. Sometimes you buy a Small and it fits perfectly, and sometimes you buy a Large and it’s too tight. Even if people mention their weight and height and the size they bought in the reviews, it can still be surprising. Because someone who is overweight might have a slim build.

Taking all these risks into account, after some research, I ordered a few pairs of shorts from a well-known brand in my country. Four shorts in different colors. Nothing went wrong, and they fit perfectly. They’re very comfortable, and I feel lucky to have gotten them so cheaply. I paid around $22 for all four shorts. That’s about $5.50 each, which I think is pretty good. I mentioned this to my brother, and he said he recently went to the store and bought the same shorts, but they cost twice as much as mine. By the way, when my packages arrived, I felt a strange rush of dopamine. I never thought buying a few shorts could feel this good, lol.

I’ve been thinking about changing my perfume for a few months now, and buying a new perfume means more dopamine! After a few days of research, reading brand reviews, and product reviews, I made my decision. Since I didn’t know which perfume would be the best, I ordered two perfumes. I also ordered a deodorant. For two perfumes and one deodorant, I paid a total of 705 TL, which is approximately 18 dollars. These were also quite reasonably priced. I started using one of the perfumes and really liked the scent. The deodorant is my favorite. I’ll keep using this deodorant from now on. I’m thinking of ordering two more to stock up. The worst part about ordering online is when your favorite product is out of stock. I hope that doesn’t happen to me.

Ben bir mağazaya girdiğinde önce bir şeyleri inceleyen daha sonra beğendiği birkaç şeyi deneyen ve üzerinde güzel görünen şeyleri alan biriyim. Bu yüzden bir kıyafet mağazasında saatlerce zaman geçirmem. Çok alışveriş yaptığım da söylenemez. Aldığım şeyleri uzun süre boyunca giymeyi seviyorum. Aşırı fazla kıyafetim yok, buna ihtiyaç duymuyorum da. Geçtiğimiz günlerde yaz için giyecek çok az şortum olduğunu fark ettim ve internetten alışveriş yapmaya karar verdim.

Bilmiyorum siz internet üzerinden mi alışveriş yapmayı tercih ediyorsunuz yoksa mağazadan alışveriş yapmayı mı ama ben genelde mağazadan alışveriş yapan birisiyim. Özellikle kıyafetler söz konusu olduğunda size gelen ürün defolu olursa iade süreci tekrar satın almak vesaire ciddi manada zaman kaybına sebep olabilir. Türkiye'de bu süreç minimum iki hafta sürüyor. Oysa mağazadan alışveriş yaptığınızda zaten ürünü inceleyip alıyorsunuz ve defolu olma şansı çok düşük oluyor. İade etmek isterseniz de ertesi gün fişinizle birlikte mağazaya gidersiniz ve iade tamamlanır. Yani internet alışverişi büyük bir kumar oynamak gibi. Tabii ben alacağım ürünün yorumlarını, mağazanın yorumları okuyarak bunu minimuma indirmeye çalışıyorum. Her zaman güvenilir siteleri tercih ediyorum. Daha önce hiç Instagram üzerinden kıyafet almadım. Türkiye'de bu çok yaygın bir şey olmasına rağmen.

Bir başka sorun da aldığınız ürünün üzerinize olup olmayacağı. İnternetteki ürünlerin bedenleri şaşırtıcı olabiliyor. Bazen Small beden alıyorsunuz ve üzerinize tam oluyor, bazen Large alıyorsunuz ve dar oluyor. Yorumlarda insanlar kendi kilo boylarını ve aldıkları bedenleri yazsa da bu bile bazen şaşırtıcı olabiliyor. Çünkü aslında kilo olarak fazlası olan biri sıkı bir vücuda sahip olabilir.

Bütün bu riskleri göze alarak, biraz araştırma sonucunda ülkemde bilinen bir markanın şortlarından birkaç tane sipariş ettim. Hepsi farklı renklerde dört şort. Korkulan olmadı ve üzerime tam oldu. Çok rahatlar ve bunları oldukça ucuza aldığım için çok şanslıyım. 4 şort için toplamda 22 dolar civarında ödedim. Tanesi 5.5 dolar, bence oldukça iyi. Kardeşime bundan bahsettim ve kendisi yakın zamanda mağazaya gidip bu şortlardan aldığını ve benim aldığımın iki katı fiyatı olduğunu söyledi. Bu arada Kargolarım geldiğinde garip bir şekilde dopamin hissettim. Birkaç şort almanın bu kadar iyi hissedeceğini hiç düşünmemiştim lol.

Birkaç aydır parfümümü değiştirmeyi düşünüyordum ve yeni bir parfüm almak daha fazla dopamin demek! Yine birkaç günlük araştırma, marka değerlendirmelerini okumak, ürün yorumlarını okumak ve karar verdim. Hangi parfümün en iyi olacağını bilmediğim için iki parfüm sipariş ettim. Bir tane de deodorant. İki parfüm ve bir deodorant için toplamda 705 TL yani yaklaşık 18 dolar ödedim. Bunlar da gayet uygun fiyatlıydı. Parfümlerin bir tanesini kullanmaya başladım ve kokusunu çok sevdim. Deodorant ise favorim. Bundan sonra bu deodorantı kullanmaya devam edeceğim. Stoklamak için 2 tane daha sipariş etmeyi düşünüyorum. İnternetten sipariş vermenin en kötü yanı favori ürününüzün stoklarda kalmamış olması. Umarım bunu yaşamam.
