Running My Own Supermarket

It's been a long time since I've shared a mobile game with you because I haven't been playing much. Now I'm able to spend some time playing games on my phone and I'm going to share with you a fun game I've been playing recently.

Let me first show you what my supermarket looks like from the outside. It's closed because it's in the evening and in front of the store there are the orders I made earlier. As you can see, its name is Hive. I could also call it Hive Supermarket, but I think everyone knows Hive because it is a brand in itself.

This is what it looks like inside. I know the boxes on the floor on the left side look a bit messy, but I will tidy it up in the next episode. I don't plan to make this game into a series, but it could be a mini-series of 2-3 episodes. As you can see, I am a mini market right now. I sell the basics: coffee, water, milk, bread, chocolate, tea, juice and some fruits. There are more things but I can't name them all.

And I have a warehouse in the back. You can see boxes of sugar, oil, cereal boxes. I also have a shelf, I would like to buy more but it is very expensive and I would rather buy shelves inside the shop and sell more stuff than buy shelves for my warehouse.

I realize that the image quality is not very good because it is a mobile game, but it looks a little bit clearer up close. Here is a close up of a shelf. Although I purposely placed some of these products side by side and one below the other, some of them are random, which I'm sure has annoyed you too, but there's nothing I can do about it for now. It takes a lot of time to organize this and I didn't have time to spend on it when I just started the game. The reason it takes so much time is because you have to do everything manually. For example, I can't just swap items from one shelf to another shelf with a single button, I have to individually pack the items on the shelf, empty the shelf and then place them one by one on another shelf.

One of the things I like about this game is that you can play another mini-game within the game. I can play basketball on the basketball court on the side. I didn't spend a lot of time there, maybe it would have been more fun if there were one or two NPCs and we could play basketball with them.

You can order from the computer inside the shop and the orders are delivered to the front of the shop as you can see in the first photo.

You have to place the products manually. You cannot automatically transfer them to the warehouse. I wish there was such a button, because at the beginning of the game it doesn't take much time to do this, but in the future, when there are 40 boxes in front of the shop, I'm too lazy to pick them up one by one.

You can get a license to sell products and expand the supermarket or warehouse on the space you order from. The next step for me is to sell frozen products, but I need to save money for that because I need to buy the license, I need to buy the products and I need to buy a freezer to sell them. As for expanding the supermarket, I might do something about that soon because I need to sell more products to make more money and I need to have all kinds of products in my shop.

Now it's time to sell. Customers shop and come to the checkout and you bag the products one by one and then take payment. When I first opened the store, the prices were all in fractions and it was a lot of work because you also take the payments manually. So, for example, if the customer made a purchase of 21 dollars and 1 cent and gave you 50 dollars, you have to give them 1 20 dollars, 1 5 dollars, 4 1 dollars, 1 50 cents, 1 25 cents, 2 10 cents and 4 1 cents as change. Manually clicking and calculating all this is tiring. That's why I rounded all prices to whole numbers. I'm no longer selling something for $1.99, it's now $2!

By the way, you can hire a cashier to take care of the cash register if you want. He works for 12 hours, the time the shop is open for a day, but it's a bit expensive. But once I start making a lot of money, I'm going to pay for it and I'm going to hire one because it's hard to stand at the checkout all day long and at the same time check that the shelves don't run out of products.

I added another shelf in the middle and I put chocolate and chips on the shelf there. I realize that it spoils the aesthetic look a bit but now the priority is to make money, after I make money I can organize the whole shop the way I want. You can see that the number of boxes on the left side has increased, and here's why. I put a product on the shelf and I have 1-2 left over. If I take these extra products to the warehouse, they will take up space there and I will have to go to the warehouse to replenish them when the products on the shelf are missing, but when I do this, I can easily refill the products on the shelf.

Thanks for reading, I hope you liked it. You can find this game on the App Store as My Supermarket Simulator and download it for free. Take care and have a great day!

Lol, it's good you rounded prices to whole numbers, counting all those coins would drive me crazy too. The basketball mini game is a nice break from stocking shelves.

I !LUV supermarket games. The one I've tried on Steam was a bit difficult to control.
I hope you can hire someone to lift those boxes going to the warehouse. That's exhausting even in real life 😂

Why this is a cool and fun game. You get to manage your own supermarket while also having fun in those mini games. Its also cool that you can manage it like in a real supermarket owned by big companies ✨. I want to try this toooo, sad I don't have much storage on my phone. Lol

It's not a big game so if you delete some photos or videos from your phone you can download it. It's like not owned by big companies it's just a town market. At least that's how I feel 😂
