Old But Gold: Zombie Catchers
In one of my previous post, I mentioned how terrible mobile game ads are. Consequently, there are many games in the industry that you download and end up being disappointed with. So, I'm going to share a game with you that I've been playing for years and is still great: Zombie Catchers.
The goal in this game is very simple: catch zombies with a harpoon, then squeeze their juice and sell it to aliens. Interestingly, they seem to like it because they always buy it!
You start the game in the swamp, the lowest level, and begin catching the simplest zombies. I'll show you how to catch them in a moment. As you level up, you catch different zombies, and then different maps open up. Right now, I have the swamp, beach, snow, and chimney sections unlocked.
So how do you level up? By completing the tasks on the main screen. These tasks are usually things like sell this much of this zombie drink, upgrade or activate this trap. So you can complete most of them quickly by playing.
Before entering the map to catch zombies, you need to choose your equipment wisely. Some equipment is very useful in certain maps, while others are useless. I'll be using a net gun and a zombie trap in the beach section. By the way, you can also obtain this equipment by leveling up.
The zombies in the early stages of the game are easy to catch, but for example, this carrot zombie can stun you by throwing the explosive in its hand at you and then start running away. Catching it won't always be easy. It can jump into the pits visible on the right side of the screen, and you'll lose it.
As you level up, some zombies will be armored. Armored zombies are harder to catch because even if you hit them with a harpoon, you must first destroy their shields. You must shoot a zombie with the highest level armor three times at maximum power. Or you can catch them with a trap, which is the method I use.
The zombies will be hiding underground or in the chimney section of apartment buildings. To get them out, you must leave a brain near them. Then you must move away so they come out. You don't need to move too far away; hiding behind an object is enough. Or slowly move away until the exclamation mark above them disappears. Moving too far away isn't a good idea because they really run fast xd
Did you see that flying bird? It looks so cute. Actually, it's not that cute. If I hit it, I'll get stunned, and if that happens while chasing a zombie, I'll lose track of the zombie. So, it's better to shoot it with a harpoon before leaving brains for the zombies.
Some equipment is really useful. They allow you to catch a lot of zombies at once. For example, if I shoot a zombie with this Tesla gun, it also incapacitates another zombie nearby, and I catch them all. Even the birds!
Now it's time to get zombie juice from the zombies we've captured. You have to put them in the juicer, and make sure you have enough zombies for the juicer to work. Some juicers work with a combination of two different zombies. It says on each one how many units of zombie juice it will give you and how much gold you will earn. If you click on the mechanical sign underneath, you can upgrade the juicer.
You can manage many different things at once from the store. You can buy cosmetics that will earn you more gold when you catch zombies, as well as equipment that increases your chances of seeing more zombies on the maps.
You can upgrade your equipment, which allows you to fly further, meaning you can reach the zombies faster. For example, if you upgrade your harpoon, you can catch zombies further away and break their armor more easily.
Unmanned vehicles are another crucial aspect of this game. You can acquire them in exchange for uranium, but it requires a significant investment. To capture zombies on a map, the unmanned vehicle must search the area for zombies, which typically takes between 10 and 20 minutes. How do you obtain uranium?
When you capture all the zombies in the game without letting any escape, you earn a badge progression. When you exceed a certain number of these badge progressions, you gain ranks, and each time you gain a rank, you receive a certain amount of uranium. In short, it's a time-consuming process.
If you think about it, this game can be one where you log in every few hours and have 10 minutes of fun, and one of the best things about it is that you can download it for free and play it even when you turn off your internet connection. Playing a game without an internet connection means no ads. This is one of the things I pay the most attention to when I download a new game.
So, what do you think about this game? Do you think it's worth playing? Or have you played it before? Please don't forget to share your thoughts with me in the comments. See you in the next post!
