Hey! I haven't learned anything about coding for a long time, I've just been going over things I've learned in the past, but @eddiespino recently shared a website called Codedex on Hive. As I was going through the post, I realized how much I missed learning about coding and decided to take a look at Codedex.

This website allows you to learn many programming languages for free. Python, HTML, CSS, C++, CSS, C++, you name it, you can find it. It does it all in a gamified way to make it easier for the learner and probably to make them love coding.

In my opinion, the most important thing when learning coding is the code you write yourself. Even if you watch videos for hours, you cannot learn a coding language unless you write that code in your own way. Codedex.io is very successful in this regard because it wants you to practice while teaching you something new. Even if it is something small, it allows you to reinforce it by practicing it. I started using the website with HTML because I have been interested in web programming for a while and I want to improve myself as much as possible.

As you complete the stages, you can unlock achievements and access different features. For example, after collecting 100 XP, you can change the background of the screen where you write code.

Codedex teaches everything in stages, so it's easier to learn coding. This is also very important when learning a programming language. If you try to learn something more complex without learning something basic, you will probably have problems and you will have a lot of questions in your head. At some point, your learning process gets blocked and stops.

It has a very clear interface. As you can see, on the left side you can see the content of the code you are asked for, in the middle you can see the part where you will write the code and on the right you can see the output when you run the code. If you don't understand how to write a code, you will find hints on the left side. If that's not enough, press “Complete” and you will see the complete solution on the bottom left. Here you can find an example of the full code requested from Github. Of course, you can write the code in a different way, there is never a single solution in coding.

Temel bir şeyi öğrenmeden daha karmaşık bir şeyi öğrenmeye çalışırsanız muhtemelen problem yaşarsınız ve kafanızda çok fazla soru işareti oluşur. Şayet bu da yeterli olmadıysa "Complete" tuşuna bastıktan sonra sol altta çözümün tamamını görebileceğiniz bir bölüm açılacak. Burada Github üzerinden sizden istenen kodun tamamının bir örneğini bulabilirsiniz. Elbette siz farklı bir şekilde de kodu yazabilirsiniz, kodlamada asla tek bir çözüm yoktur.
