Hey, it's been a long time since I shared my first mushroom hunt and it's time for a new one. You remember we were extremely unlucky the first time, right? Let's see how lucky we are this time.

Maybe we make the mistake when we go mushroom hunting. I'm sure we could find more mushrooms if we came early in the morning, but we can only go mushroom hunting on weekends and everyone wants to get extra sleep to relieve the tiredness of the week. So we set off with my mom, dad and uncle and this time we went to a more distant place to look for mushrooms.

Of course, we also took a look at the places where we had looked for mushrooms before. Because my uncle told me that he had found mushrooms here before and that we could find them again, but we have never found mushrooms here.

I told my father to stop on the side of the road while we were driving. I like to enjoy this beautiful view. Yes, it is not as green as the Black Sea region, but it is still green. There are lots of trees around.

Can you see any mushrooms around? I can't, only twigs. Now I'm starting to think I have a problem with my eyes. How come I can't find a single mushroom lol. I don't claim to be good at it but I was aiming to find a few.

A few days ago there was extremely high winds. Maybe that's when this tree fell. I couldn't sleep that night, it was almost 3.30 am and it felt like the wind was going to blow the house down. The weather is extremely difficult to predict. The weather forecast looks rainy and the sun is shining. On the day we went to look for mushrooms, it looked cool but on the contrary there was a blazing sun.

Look what I found! Exactly two mushrooms. Isn't that a great achievement? Just kidding, I didn't find them, my dad did. Everyone got together and the total number of mushrooms we found was only 4. My uncle found two and my mom found none like me. Our goal was to find and eat some of these mushrooms, but they are actually quite valuable mushrooms. They cost over 1000 Turkish liras per kilogram. That's about 25 dollars. People sometimes manage to find two kilos a day. This is much more money than they would earn in other jobs. But ultimately it's about luck. Sometimes you don't find any, sometimes you find a lot.

Even though I didn't find mushrooms, at least I enjoyed the view, took a walk in nature in the fresh air and drank the tea we brought from home with my family. So I can say that we had a good time. My father said he didn't want to eat them, but I think he wants to go mushroom hunting again in the coming days. Who knows? Maybe we will find more mushrooms this time.

Annem, babam ve amcamla yola çıktık ve bu sefer daha uzak bir yere mantar aramaya gittik.

Tabii öncesinde daha önce mantar aradığımız yerlere de bir göz attık. Çünkü amcam burada daha önce mantar bulduğunu ve yine bulabileceğimizi söyledi ancak buralarda hiç mantar bulamadık.

Arabayla giderken babama yol kenarında durmasını söyledim. Bu güzel manzaranın tadını çıkarmayı seviyorum. Evet, burası Karadeniz bölgesi kadar yeşil değil ancak yine de yeşil sayılır. Etrafta bir sürü ağaç var.

Etrafta hiç mantar görebiliyor musunuz? Ben göremiyorum, sadece dal parçaları var. Artık gözlerimde problem olduğunu düşünmeye başladım. Nasıl olur da bir tane bile mantar bulamam lol. Bu konuda başarılı olduğumu iddia etmiyorum ama birkaç tane bulabilmeyi hedefliyordum.

Birkaç gün önce aşırı şiddetli rüzgar vardı. Belki de bu ağaç o zaman yıkılmıştır. O gece uyuyamadım. Saat neredeyse 3.30 olmuştu ve rüzgar evi yıkacak gibi hissettiriyordu. Havaları tahmin etmek aşırı zor. Hava durumunda yağmurlu görünüyor ve güneş açıyor. Mantar aramaya gittiğimiz gün de hava serin görünüyordu ama tam tersine yakıcı bir güneş vardı.

Ne bulduğuma bakın! Tam iki mantar. Ne büyük bir başarı değil mi? Şaka yapıyorum, onları ben bulmadım babam bulmuş. Herkes bir araya geldi ve toplam bulduğumuz mantar sayısı sadece 4. İki tane de amcam bulmuş ve annem benim gibi hiç bulamamıştım. Bizim amacımız bu mantardan biraz bulup yemek ancak bunlar aslında oldukça değerli mantarlar. Kilogramı 1000 Türk lirasının üstünde. Yaklaşık 25 dolar yapıyor. İnsanlar bazen günde iki kilo bulmayı başarıyor. Bu onların başka işlerde çalıştığında kazanacağı paradan çok daha fazla. Ama en nihayetinde şansla ilgili. Bazen hiç bulamazsınız bazen çok bulursunuz.

Mantar bulamasam da en azından manzaranın tadını çıkardım, temiz havada doğada yürüyüş yaptım ve evden yanımıza aldığımız çayı ailemle içtim. Dolayısıyla iyi zaman geçirdiğimizi söyleyebilirim. Bulduğumuz iki mantarı da annemle birlikte yedik. Babam yemek istemediğini söyledi ama sanırım ilerleyen günlerde tekrar mantar avına çıkmak istiyor. Kim bilir? Belki bu sefer daha fazla mantar bulabiliriz.
