Farewell to the Dragons! TFT Set 7.5 Revival

avatar

The Dragon set became unplayable yesterday, and Set 16 was released. I must admit that Set 7.5 was one of the most fun sets. Yes, there were unbalanced, overly powerful compositions, but they've always been there. Today, I'll share with you the composition I'm saying goodbye to in this set. I'll also show you the easiest way to win in this set.

You can watch the gameplay video here:

You've probably seen this augment before. Healthy Eating grants you a pan, which allows you to craft an emblem, and the unit closest to the champion you give this item to gains 40 permanent health each turn.

It doesn't matter if you win or lose early in the game. Winning is better because if you can't find champions, you might lose some health. Having high health means you won't have problems later on. You won't have any economic issues when playing this composition.

By the way, the game's universe is crabs. That means more gold and items.

A silver augment like Shimmerscale Crest? They must have been crazy when they designed this game XD The game is over now. I can guarantee you I'll finish this game in 1st place. I just can't be overly unlucky. Even under these conditions, I think I can win.

I chose Last Second Save as my final augment. This augment will allow my champions to regenerate health before dying. Time is the only thing I need in this composition. By the way, mid-game went well for me. I think I won three and lost two again.

That's it! I reached level 9 and activated the 10 Shimmerscale trait. For those who don't know, in the Shimmerscale composition, you collect items, and these are the artifact items in the current set. Some of these items are extremely powerful. When you activate 10 Shimmerscale, the items become radiant, and you become virtually invincible. For example, when you activate 9 Shimmerscale, you gain an item called the Crown of Champions, and the champion who possesses this item kills their attacking opponent every 5 seconds. No matter how powerful they are or how much health they have. When you have 10 Shimmerscale, this drops to 3 seconds. So as long as your frontline is tanky, winning the game is guaranteed.

Look at the damage this item deals! Has there ever been a champion in the game with 468k health? Armor and magic resistance don't matter because it deals true damage.

It also looks pretty funny on the damage chart. It's like my other champions didn't deal any damage at all XD

Someone got hooked by Thresh's hook. I'm really sorry, Lagoon composition. Even though I love you, you have no chance against me.

I was almost losing against this Astral composition. Lux was going to kill Zoe because she targeted the farthest enemy. The problem I'm having with this composition right now is that my champions aren't dealing enough damage. If I didn't have the Radiant Crown of Champions, I probably wouldn't have won this fight.

I also put Shyvana on the board as a reliable damage source. Yeah, I can never give her up :P

I thought I could three-star a dragon in this game. It would probably be Shyvana again, but the game ended too early. The reason, of course, is that I'm too strong and beat everyone, but some games lasted until stage 7. Especially in Set 7.5, game durations increased due to Soraka's health regeneration mechanic.

Anyway, I'm not complaining since I came in first. Thanks for reading. We saw the dragons off together. See you in the next post!

Man, I really enjoyed reading this. I don’t play TFT at all, but the way you break everything down and tell the story makes it super easy to follow and actually fun to read. You can feel the nostalgia and how much you enjoyed that set, and that’s what really pulls you in.

I like how you walk through the whole journey — the early decisions, the tense moments, the power spikes, and then that confident “yeah, I’m taking first place” energy at the end. It reads less like a guide and more like a personal send‑off to something you genuinely had a great time with.

Keep posting these, seriously. Even for someone who doesn’t know the game, your enthusiasm makes it enjoyable.

I generally try to combine entertainment with educational content. I want people who don't play the game to enjoy it too. I'm very happy to hear that I've succeeded in doing so.
