Hey, I hope you're having a good day. On the way back from my visit to the army, we stopped at a big rest stop and I noticed a souvenir shop there. I went in and there were tons of things. Do you like souvenirs?

There were so many kinds of souvenirs inside, from local clothes to toys. I thought about buying one of these clothes for my little cousin, but if I bought it in the wrong size, it would be a waste of money, so I gave up. I am not much of a souvenir person, that is, I am not someone who wants to be gifted souvenirs, even if I buy them myself occasionally. My mom loves this. That's why I buy my mom fridge ornaments or little things that remind her of that city from some places I go.

This is not just a souvenir shop. It is also a market. And the snow globes you can see in the closest photo are my favorite. I have loved them since I was little, it feels like a different world. The price tags were removed, I guess they have to change them all the time because of inflation. It's bad for both sellers and buyers, but there's nothing we can do about it, I guess?

Here are the fridge ornaments, I wanted to buy one for my mom and I sent her the photo but she said the fridge door was full enough. They have an interesting design, they look like fish, they are both a fridge ornament and a soda lid opener.

More fridge ornaments. I really like some of these, the one on the bottom left is Atatürk, the great leader of the Turks. That's my favorite. Since this souvenir shop is in the Black Sea region, they mostly have things that evoke tea and fish.

This is a clock in the shape of a kemençe, a local Turkish instrument. People can be very creative when they want to be. I don't know if I would want one of these in my house though, it doesn't look aesthetic.

Speaking of aesthetics, these night lamps look really aesthetic. They remind me of the old years. I don't know about you, but I like this kind of retro stuff. People in our country used to use gas lamps like this before electricity. I saw a similar one at my grandparents' house. Of course, it didn't work with electricity 😂💡.

İçeride yöresel kıyafetlerden oyuncaklara bir sürü çeşit hediyelik eşya vardı. Bu kıyafetlerden bir tanesini küçük kuzenim için almayı düşündüm ancak yanlış bedende alırsam bu bir para israfı olurdu bu yüzden vazgeçtim. Ben pek hediyelik eşya insanı değilim yani kendim ara sıra alsam da bana hediyelik eşya hediye edilmesini isteyen biri değilim. Annem ise buna bayılıyor. Bu yüzden gittiğim bazı yerlerden anneme buzdolabı süsü ya da o şehri hatırlatan küçük şeyler alıyorum.

Burası sadece hediyelik eşya dükkanı sayılmaz. Aynı zamanda bir market de. Ve fotoğrafta en yakında gördüğünüz kar küreleri benim favorim. Küçüklüğümden beri onları seviyorum, farklı bir dünya gibi hissettiriyor. Fiyat etiketleri sökülmüştü, sanırım enflasyon yüzünden sürekli etiketleri değiştirmek zorunda kalıyorlar. Bu hem satıcılar hem de alıcılar için kötü bir durum ama buna karşın yapabileceğimiz bir şey yok, sanırım?

İşte buzdolabı süsleri, bunlardan bir taneyi anneme almak istedim ve anneme fotoğrafı gönderdim ancak buzdolabının kapağının yeterince dolu olduğunu söyledi. İlginç bir tasarıma sahipler, balık gibi görünüyorlar, hem buzdolabı süsü hem de soda kapak açacağı.

Daha fazla buzdolabı süsü. Bunların bazılarını gerçekten çok beğendim. Sol alttaki Türklerin büyük lideri Atatürk. İşte favorim o. Bu hediyelik eşya dükkanı Karadeniz bölgesinde olduğu için çoğunlukla çay ve balığı çağrıştıran şeyler var.

Bu da Türklerin yöresel çalgısı olan kemençe şeklinde bir saat. İnsanlar istediklerinde çok yaratıcı olabiliyor. Yine de evimde bunlardan bir tane ister miydim bilmiyorum. Estetik görünmüyor.

Estetik üzerine konuşmuşken, bu gece lambaları gerçekten estetik görünüyor. Bana eski yılları anımsattılar. Sizi bilmem ama ben bu tarz retro şeyleri seviyorum. Ülkemizdeki insanlar elektrikten önce böyle gaz lambaları kullanıyordu. Babaannemlerin evinde benzer bir tane görmüştüm. Tabi o elektrikle çalışmıyordu 😂💡.
