When Your Phone Knows You More Than Your Parents Do

I just noticed that our Phones sees us daily more than our parents do, if using of our phones was a course I'm sure we would be acing it with A's every semester.

Phone addiction is too real in this era, but we can't just throw shades to these addicts, can't you see how almost everything is built around a network and a working smart phone?

We were always cautioned by our parents every time we use the smartphone but things have escalated too quickly, we get more information than them, our parents rely on news and radio for their information but we have a lot of sources, and even videos to make the information more concrete.

There are lots freelancers, warning a living with their phones by working, most of them earn more than some workers working on site. Such people will always be on their phones because they have a lot to do, lots of things to learn and also lots of work to deliver.

Okay!, enough of defending the addicts, I really thought I was an addict until I stayed 4 hours plus during a free day without my phone, my phone had bar and I just felt like doing something else. Sometimes I solve maths, read or I do sleep, this helps me control how I glue to my phone screen.

The more you look at it, the more you believe you are a phone Addict, lol... Maybe we are all addicts for real.

There's always something to do with your mobile phone, reels/movies to watch, things to learn, materials to read, games to play and so on. Living your life with your phone is an addiction and it has several effects on our mental health.

Firstly, Gluing to your phone screen for long will probably cause Digital eye strain which affects our vision. Too much exposure to these light causes a lot that's why we have an eye care function on our phones to help dim the light and its effect.

Addiction is always something tough to break from, a smoker knows it is not healthy to smoke but keeps burning the light because of the addiction. Imagine being a phone addict and you got your dream job in a company, how will you deal with it? You know if you're caught using your phone on duty, you'll get a query, at last getting sacked.

Phone addicts are mostly introverts, they prefer to be inside alone with their phones. They prefer chatting than talking to people, it is a lifestyle and they are used to it.

The Best remedy to Phone addiction or addiction at large is Self Discipline. You can push yourself out of it

Maybe phone addicts are mostly introverts, I kinda agree. Based on the fact that extroverts spend less time on their phone because they spend it with people. But don't forget extroverts can spend time on the phone and with people at the same time, by chatting, texting, or calling.

Still, phone addiction is a serious problem in our time. Something needs to be done. People need to be enlightened on the side effects. And governments need to pass laws that will curtail excessive phone usage, assuming that's possible.

Yeaah, but don't forget those that work with their smart phone, they will need to be with their phone 24/7. I think it should be up to their parents to curtail the usage since they know what they use their phones for.

I love this.

You did well by balancing both sides—how useful it is and how addicted we can be.

And like you said, self-discipline is indeed the solution to phone addiction.

Thanks for sharing.

Phone addiction is gradually eating up into our skins, cand don't forget, phone addiction doesn't know if you are introvert or extrovert because even extrovert are more on their phones these days because you see them making videos and taking pictures, chatting and pressing phone every now and then. It's not about being an intro or extrovert
