Uniuyo is a brand protect it

This is a statement students ponder on, someone said "even uniuyo is not protecting us and they want us to protect them". This statement came as a result of the recent Examination disappointments, the school embarked on a CBT journey they were not prepared for which has left many students stranded.

The Educational sector in the country is messed up, today the school body(ASUU) wants to embark on a strike, that statement that says when two elephants fight it is the ground that suffers, the students suffer in this case, their 4 school years turns to 7 years. This was just by the way due to the frustration students are currently facing.

My school Uniuyo is very unique and they have been standing tall in promoting the brand, truly it is a brand because their students are making waves across the globe. One unique thing about the school is their learning environment.

• Learning Environment

University of Uyo has 3 campus, the Annex, Town campus and permanent site, Faculty of Engineering was moved since 2012 to permanent site, I have visited all three campus and they are all unique. The permanent campus is unique because of its learning environment, the environment is calm and serene and it gives room to a faster assimilation.

Some students normally go to the library to read due to the calmness and also less noise, but in this campus almost everywhere is quiet and conducive for reading .

• Free WiFi

In uniuyo, in most places just turn on your wifi, you will find free hotspots to connect to, you will surely see funny Wi-Fi names like, "you too like free things". The school cafeteria has a free wifi but this is done when you register for it in the school portal, you will be given the logins, it is actually free.

My friend has been using the library any time he free, we used to hype him on how serious he is until I found out that he goes there to enjoy the free wifi in the library, he registered for it and jokingly asked us to make payments so he can turn on hotspot for us.

• Good Cuisine

Akwa ibom state is known for making good dishes, which has influenced the school as a whole, in our engine market there are lots of good spots to have a good and satisfying meal, one of the is "victory canteen". They offer a good meal with a good price for the students.

• Playing football

One unique thing but not so unique is how the students turn everywhere to a football field, don't let them see a spacious place with grass, they will keep stones or make a post and play soccer. They love football a lot, if you're a football lover you will just get tired of playing because you have many options to play.

There are other unique activities like cultural activities, parties and dinner nights done in the school but I haven't attended most of it, I hope I'll get to attend some of these soon.
