A Better Nigeria: One thing I'd Change

Why would a Senator get millions of naira and even wardrobe allowances, then citizens are dying of hunger. They live a luxury life from stealing money made from crude oil but the inhabitants are affected by Pollutants without getting compensation.

When you talk of Hardwork, intelligence, perseverance and also resilience, you're defining a Nigerian. Nigeria is a very wonderful country with a lot of good citizens, and Natural resources which has made many people billionaires and multi-millionaires, the weather and soil is also supportive of the growth as it allows the growth of many crops.

Politics came, corruption was brought in, the greed to take so much money all by themselves kicked in their thoughts. Some of the government bodies are focused on growing their accounts rather than looking into the problems of the people they were supposed to serve. My thoughts is that any one elected in the presidents seat will be pressured to take their big scoop of the currencies, living the luxury life they have always dreamed of.

While trying to fix my country, I would hold all government officials because they play a very crucial role in the problems of the country, the citizens too play a role in their problems. We all know honest and loyal youths and oldies that could stand their grounds privately and publicly, I would appoint them as advisors, getting advices from them to make changes in the country. Working with some corporations we would look into the transactions of all Government officials and we will recover every stolen funds.

I would change the salary given to senators and other huge government officials by 50 percent, this will provide enough liquidity for other sectors in the country. The power sector is also poor, but many area's like Estates are having constant power supply, so this sector will be funded to provide a better power supply to the country.

Looking into the education sector, many practical opportunities will be made to give a clear understanding of what is being thought. I will also change the curriculum and make a day free from lectures which will be used to teach every student an entrepreneurship skill, like phone repairs, sewing, designing, crafting, digital skills like coding, programming and so on. This will give students the chance to explore more and not depend solely on the government for work and also the course they studied in school.

Getting down to the Healthcare sector, I would create a kind of license which will restrict some hospitals that are not worthy of providing healthcare services. I would also make a scheme that will provide many healthcare facilities in the country to support the health sector.

I would also wish to refine the security sector and make them know what their duties are, what they are to do in certain situations. Teaching policemen their work, the do's and don't of the organization. And also make sure the various organization works well to improve the living conditions of the citizens.
