Question of the day:

Continuing from where we left last post. Today we talk about Hotel California by Eagles. I am not sure where i first heard this song, whether it was the music played by the 3rd floor flat owner on most sunday's or it was after i got my first job and borrowed the music cassettes from my colleague to play it on my walkman (portable cassette player).
I use to listen to music on my walkman while travelling to work everyday in local trains in Mumbai, India. My walkman also had a radio to listen to local channels :-). Good memories.

"Hotel California" is one of my favourite songs. The music and the lyrics are fantastic. I love the music played on the guitar, very lively.

So my question is:

In which year was the song 'Hotel California' released as a single?

Hint - single was released after the album.
