Today, is Ganapati Visarjan day. All the Ganesha idols are immerse in water and bid farewell. The idols are either taken to the ocean, lake or river and immerse in water.

Blast from my past:

During my college days (that's in 90's), we had NSS voluntary programme, where you get 10 marks added to your final results for completing 120 hours every year for 3 years.

The first year, i did it very seriously. One of the voluntary work was during Ganapati Visarjan at Girgaum chowpatty. We were basically human barrier between the incoming idols and the outgoing public on the beach itself.

The best part for me was being upclose to the idols. But, downside was lots of drunks were part of that too :-)
We were at the beach for 2 hours. It did get chaotic a few times but was managable.
Well,... Rest is history :-)

My Day:

A late start to the day. Weather has been rainy.

Today, i did few small online tasks. After completing this post, i will spend some time on INLEO threads and ecency waves.
Also, work on my affiliate marketing skills and promotions

I still need to complete my actifit steps goal for the day. Will complete indoors.
