Civilization encompasses alot of things, it means advancement or change in the way of society. Civilization has a great impact in the development of the society, though it has its advantages and disadvantages but still it's advantages can never be undermine.

The world is changing and every nation is adapting to the new system, there's something about human being, we always get used to the new ideas be it good or bad. Civilization does not have to do with culture alone but anything that has to neglect old ideas.

Even though I wasn't really able to witness how they lived in early ages, but the little I met there are some advantages it posseses over recent ages.
Civilization touches all aspect that has to do with technology, infrastructure, regulation, labor, agriculture and so on.

THE GOOD SIDE

Technology as an aspect of civilization has a great contribution in the development and urbanization of recent world, starting with democracy, civilization as caused a fair democracy where everyone has the right to participate in government, where you can vote and also be voted for, also there is equality among citizens unlike the olden days way of life where the leaders are the dictator, whatever they say is final and anyone who stands against them will be a victim of harsh judgement.

What about technology, this has greatly contributed to the recent world making way of life more easy, the innovative technology and modernized and computerized world which makes information spread faster is a great benefit of civilization. It also helps in the aspect of communication and transportation, in the olden days spreading information

Technology alone had brought more advancement and makes life easier to live in, the health improvement has really saved alot of lives, for instance “still birth” (which means loss of baby before or during pregnancy) which they believed in the olden days has to do with predicament or some belief which has to with deity, they believed such women who is the victim are cursed and they are better chased out not realizing it's a disorder or trauma during pregnancy which can be avoided or corrected with medical options. Technology has made us realized how easy life is to live.

THE BAD SIDE

For everything that has advantage will surely have it's disadvantages, even though technology has shown us a better world, at the other side it has its bad.
Generally civilization has reduced moral and ethical values. Specifically African, where culture is highly valued has lost its cultural where children have adopted the western culture, the respect for culture and religion had been lost, there is no more respect for the elders, it's of believe now that money shows seniority not age which is not supposed to be.

Civilization has affected this generation badly that they have lost the morals, lots of immoral things are happening, indecent dressing among ladies, cross dressers everywhere, lesbians and gays are uncountable this as a result of civilization and embedding the western culture which is not fit into our culture.

Technology being the major factor of civilization has been helpful but nevertheless it's disadvantages has been overwhelming. Industrial on this path has caused lots of death and illness as a cause of release of harmful substances into the atmosphere which causes air pollution. Lots of diseases are discovered from time to time as a result of using chemical substances in our food items, which in the early ages they only consume natural foods.
