This article was published in the Journal of Clinical Investigation in 2023. It is a study that compares the ACE immunostaining intensity, the mRNA and the protein levels in rat kidneys of rats that had a supplemented amount of potassium in the diet versus controls.

The kidneys in the rats with a diet with supplemented potassium had less immunostaining intensity for ACE in brush border of renal tubules, a significant reduction in ACE mRNA abundance, and less protein (ACE) compared to non potassium supplemented.
