Applying lettering on Topper for Valentine's day [ENG/ESP]
Welcome February, the shortest month of the year, and in which many take advantage of this famous commercial day, to show their love and affection to their special person, well this is where merchants take advantage to make their money, sell their candies, details, gifts, among other things.
Here we take advantage of these initiatives, to let our imagination fly, create, design, draw, and show our talents; as you know, I am in my world of lettering, learning every day, that's why, this time I show you what I did, a Topper with this style, to celebrate the first commercial day of the year, as is Valentine's Day.
SPANISH VERSION
Bienvenido Febrero, el mes más corto del año, y en el que muchos aprovechan este famoso día comercial, para demostrar su amor y cariño a su persona especial, bueno aquí es donde los comerciantes aprovechan para hacer su dinerito, vender sus dulces, detalles, regalos, entre otras cosas.
Aquí aprovechamos estas iniciativas, para dejar volar nuestra imaginación, crear, diseñar, dibujar, y mostrar nuestros talentos; como bien saben, yo ando en mi mundo del lettering, aprendiendo cada día, es por eso, que en esta oportunidad les muestro lo que hice, unos Topper con este estilo, para celebrar el primer día comercial del año, como es San Valentín.
For this, I created three types of designs, simple, striking, and very colorful, that's the art of lettering; many will have seen these images printed, but drawn also looks very similar, yes, you have to have a good pulse, I'm still dealing with mine hahaha, but here I go.
As always I like to start tracing everything in pencil, to avoid making mistakes, it is easier, and with this, I take my markers, and start to give rein, as I mentioned, you have to have a good pulse, to go tracing each line, that comes out as straight as possible, and above all that is assimilated to the image; by the way, the inspiration for these images I took them from Pinterest, powerful tool to create what we want.
SPANISH VERSION
Para esto, cree tres tipos de diseños, sencillos, llamativos, y muy coloridos, así es el arte del lettering; muchos seguros habrán visto estas imágenes impresas, pero dibujadas también queda muy parecidas, eso sí, hay que tener un buen pulso, yo aun sigo lidiando con el mío jajaja, pero bueno allí voy.
Como siempre me gusta empezar trazándolo todo a lápiz, para no cometer errores, resulta más fácil, ya con esto, tomo mis marcadores, y comienzo a darle rienda, como les mencione, hay que tener buen pulso, para ir trazando cada línea, que salga lo más recta posible, y sobre todo que se asimile a la imagen; por cierto, la inspiración de dichas imágenes las saque de Pinterest, poderosa herramienta para crear lo que deseamos.
As you can see this was the first design I did, with only two types of colors, between black and red, HAPPY VALENTINES, I really liked this design, it was very similar, I gave it some shadow with the gray around, having this as the final result.
Como ven este fue el primer diseño que hice, con solo dos tipos de colores, entre negro y rojo, HAPPY VALENTINES, me gustó mucho este diseño, quedo muy parecido, le di algo de sombra con el gris alrededor, teniendo esto como resultado final.😍
Then I decided to make this other model, a little bigger, with the word I LOVE YOU, here we play with different shapes in the letters, with two types of models, and colors, as you can see, simple but also beautiful and striking, don't you think 😉.
Luego decidí hacer este otro modelo, un poco más grande, con la palabra TE QUIERO, aquí jugamos con distintas formas en las letras, con dos tipos de modelos, y los colores, como ven, sencillo pero también bonito y llamativo, no creen. 😉
The last design, a short phrase, but with a great value, that is not said to anyone truth, I LOVE YOU, I liked the idea of adding an image, a cup, for those who love coffee, what better way to express that love hahaha, also simple but delicate, a small topper.
El ultimo diseño, una frase corta, pero con un gran valor, que no se dice a cualquiera verdad, TE AMO, me gustó la idea de agregarle una imagen, una taza, para los que amamos el café, que mejor forma de expresar ese amor jajaja, también sencillo pero delicado, un pequeño toppercito.
Three nice handmade Topper, a nice idea don't you think, I like to apply lettering to everything I can, it's a beautiful creative art, and allows me to keep learning, improve my pulse and my creativity.
