Weekend Experiences: Introducing Children to Books (Part 2)

I still remember a saying from my elementary school teacher: "Books are a storehouse of knowledge."
Well, my love of reading and collecting books is a legacy from my late father. My father also introduced me to books. I still remember the first book I read was his. I forget the title, but I do remember reading about a literary figure named Johann Wolfgang Goethe.
Honestly, in terms of formal education, I was outclassed by other women, but in terms of careers, I was the one who provided them with job opportunities. This isn't to compare or even to consider formal education unimportant, but rather, it's a blessing because I love reading. Because through reading, my knowledge has expanded. Although I'm quite sad that in my country, interest in reading books is very low.
I want to pass on my love of books to my children. So, on the 18th, Sunday, when the kids were off school, I took my three children to Gramedia bookstore to shop for books.

There no greater legacy for our children and grand children than a pile of books and knowledge.
