I lived 5 years of my life bleeding from the nose

My true life experience

I was just thinking about this festive season and was led to write this part of my story that many do not know in hopes that it can encourage someone. Whatever you are about to read now is a real life story and not a fictional one. I was 5years when it all started and 10years when it ended. Back then, mom told me it was all a sign of intelligence. She said that anyone who passed through that was always seen as an intelligent person. I actually believed it though it wasn't easy for me as a young child.

I can't actually remember how it all started but I can remember how it all went. I always bled from my nose on monthly intervals. It was very embarrassing. I'd go to school and the next thing, blood will just flow from my nose like tap. I'll be in church and fiammmm....blood will rush out. I lived with this sickness (I don't know if it was) for years and mom, dad and I kept believing that one day, my fountain of blood would dry. One of the most embarrassing moment was when my siblings and I spent a night at a family friend's house.

That night, I remember I was tapped by my aunt in the middle of the night because I was totally soaked with blood. It felt like I was on my monthly flow but I was about 7years then. My aunt(our family friend's) was totally confused. They questioned me and I had to tell them what was wrong. For me, it was quite embarrassing. Another embarrassing moment was when I was in primary school, I think it was in my primary four it happened. We were submitting our assignment to our teacher when this demon showed up. The blood started flowing like an unending fountain.

I felt embarrassed because, my classmates kind of treated me like an outcast. Trust me, it wasn't easy for me even as a little child. Forward to my secondary school days. Back then, I feared being hit on my head because, that was the easiest way of permitting the blood to flow. I had to pre-inform my classmates and most importantly, my seniors and luckily for me, they agreed not to hit me. The very day I last saw this blood was when I was in jss1. As a border, I had a school father and mother as well. That night, I was having my prep with my school father.

We were actually reading together that night and all our teachers had come to school for vigil. While they were singing (my teachers), the blood rushed out and I ran towards the school tap to wash it away. My school father didn't understand what was going on. I just had to wash it off to avoid being embarrassed and asked series of questions. After I washed my nose, I lifted my head up just like my mom would always tell me to do. She said that by doing it, the blood would flow back to wherever it came from. That was the last night I saw that blood.

For me, I believe it was the prayers of my teachers that night that caused the fountain of blood to cease. Since then till date, I've not experienced that blood issue. Listen up, dear friends, Some situations in life are just phases. They'll not last forever because, everything has an expiry date. With this story of mine, I wish to tell you that whatever you're going through right now will soon come to an end. It will expire soon. Dear friends, THIS TOO SHALL PASS.

In as much as you await your miracle, don't fail to keep PUSHING. keep PRAYING UNTIL SOMETHING HAPPENS. Weary God with your request. Keep reminding him that you are still waiting.
